SWIMMING LESSONS

Just a reminder that swimming lessons started this week. The grades that will be attending for this week are: F/0 A, F/0 B, F/0 C and 1/2 A. Next week the remainder of the 1/2 grades (B, C, D and E) will attend.

Grade 3/4 Coonawarra Camp

On November 16th-18th the grade 3/4s will be going to Coonawarra farm resort for an exciting, action packed couple of days. The farm is set on beautiful bushland acreage with many team building and fun activities. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to build relationships with other students, participate in building activities and engage in team activities.

The cost of the camp is $270. Could parents please ensure that the money is paid through the cash book in the classroom and not directly to the office, so that the classroom teachers can keep track of payments. Congratulations Shannae Benson!

Shannae represented the Latrobe Division at the Regional Primary School Athletics Carnival this past Tuesday at Joe Carmody Athletics Track in Newborough. Shannae competed in the 9/10 year old High Jump in wet and windy conditions. She jumped well against students from as far as Lakes Entrance and San Remo. Shannae finished the competition tied for 2

nd

place with a completed jump of 1.13m. Sadly after a countback she just missed out on a medal placing 4th.

We are very proud of her efforts, only missing out on The State Athletics Championships by the smallest of margins: 1cm. Congratulations on representing South Street Primary School, Western Valley District and Latrobe Division with such persistence. We would like to acknowledge your admirable effort and look forward to your topping this performance next year. Mr. R
