RESPECT & RESPONSIBILITY CARE & COMPASSION HONESTY & TRUSTWORTHINESS
Hi everyone…
On Tuesday night, myself, Mr Watts, Miss Weigl, Miss
Sholeh and Mrs Holla attended Roma Mitchell
Secondary College (RMSC) for a presentation by
primary students involved in the Roma’s STEM Primary
Project. The acronym STEM refers to Science, Maths,
Engineering & Technology subjects and six students
from Hillcrest joined a group of students from Klemzig,
Enfield, and Mawson Lakes to work with STEM teachers
at Roma on robotic cars.
The students all shared the processes, high-tech
programs and equipment involved in creating their
projects and students from all schools spoke confidently
and informatively. Congratulations to Hayley, Selena,
Niharika, Jinit, Anusha and Maxim for their
achievements in the STEM Primary Project and for
representing our school so well. Thanks also to their
teachers and parents for providing the time for them to
be involved and to Mrs Brownlie for the transport of
students to and from RMSC.
Well it’s the last day tomorrow and don’t forget we
have early dismissal at 2.05pm and that it is Casual
Clothes day. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday
break and manage to keep warm and free from any
bugs and colds. Look forward to seeing you all next
term! Kind regards, Lissa Before School Care

End of Term 2
The end of term 2 is fast approaching and we need to remind everyone to return
their books. Overdue books will receive a reminder letter with the name and the
price of the book attached, so please search in those interesting places and find
those run away books.
Winter…
The perfect time to sit and
snuggle up to your favourite

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability
We have commenced the annual nationally consistent collection of data on school
students with disability (‘the Collection’).
This will involve the collection of: the number of students receiving adjustments to
enable them to participate in education on the same basis as other students; the level
of adjustment provided to students; and where known, the student’s type of disability.
Under the Collection model the definition of disability is broad and includes learning
difficulties, health and mental health conditions.
If your child is identified for inclusion in the Collection, the required information about
your child will be included in this year’s data collection.
If you have any questions about the data collection, please contact Robyn Holla on
8261 2845. Further information about the Collection can be found at: http://
www.education.gov.au/nationally-consistent-collection-data-school-students-disability.
