FAQ - ENGLISH1. What is the objective of the Digital Skills for Tomorrow’s Jobs Program

2021?

This initiative is to address the increasing need for digital skills at the

workplace. A collaboration between Microsoft, JA Malaysia & PERKESO,

this initiative targets to provide awareness on the importance of data

science to 25,000 individuals, followed by digital skills courses (data

analytics, data science, DevOps, software development and IT support)

and a pathway to employment for 400 selected individuals.

2. Who is eligible for this initiative?

A. Orientation Course:

● Anyone who is interested in or wants to start a journey in Data

Science (including school leavers who are 18 years of age)

B. Digital Skills Courses Program:

i. Fresh grads

ii. Unemployed

iii. Participants who obtained a certificate from the OrientationCourse (those who have a passing mark of 70% and above forthe lab assessment in the Orientation Course).

Disclaimer: Please be advised that SOCSO will be profiling participants for the

Digital Skills Courses program based on the eligibility conditions.

3. How do I register?

Step 1: Click here to be directed to the Digital Skills for Tomorrow’s Jobs

Program (MGSI) option.

Step 2: Receive an email from SOCSO and begin the program.

Step 3: To receive all the benefits of the program, make sure your

MYFutureJobs profile is complete. Visit the MYFutureJobs portal; click on

‘Sign In’ (left) and Log in/Register (right). Please complete your profile.

4. What is the structure of the MGSI 2021?

There are two programs in the Digital Skills for Tomorrow’s Jobs Program

2021 – the Orientation Course and the Digital Skills Courses program.

● Orientation Course

Upon registration, the Orientation Course will provide participants a

detailed exposure on data science and its importance in the

workplace today. The following shows a process flow of this phase for

25,000 participants.

Note:

1. Participants are advised to prepare well for the online lab assessment as

they can only complete it in ONE try.

2. Please be advised that the certificate is issued out for those who

have a passing mark of 70% and above.

● The Digital Skills Courses Program

The 5 listed career tracks are data analytics, data science, DevOps,

software development and IT support. Only 400 participants out of those

who have successfully completed will be chosen for this phase. Please

take note of the following processes in this program:

Subsequently, 400 eligible participants from the Digital Skills Courses

Program will be invited for soft skills training by JA Malaysia &

associated trainers. This training is intended to increase the

employability of the eligible participants, followed by a pathway of

employment opportunities.

Participants who are not placed through this program will continue to

receive job notifications on preferred occupation and other programs

from the MYFutureJobs portal.

5. How long do I have to complete EACH program?

A. The Orientation Course

i. This program is self-paced with 3 modules. This program can be

completed within 2-4 hours. Two hours will be for the modules

and the other two hours will be for the online lab assessments.

Please take note of the following:

● The online lab assessments MUST be completed within two

hours.

● Participants have only ONE chance to pass the assessment.

● The passing mark is 70% and above.

B. The Digital Skills Courses program

i. This program is self-paced which requires participants to go

through 4 courses. At the end of each lecture, there will be an

online lab assessment.

ii. Participants are required to complete all courses in their chosen

track to be eligible for the soft skills training and job placement

opportunities.

6. What is the deadline to register?

This program is continuous and there’s no deadline for registration but

seats are limited, so do register immediately so you don’t miss the

opportunity.

FAQ – BM1. Apakah objektif bagi Program “Digital Skills For Tomorrow’s Jobs” 2021?

Inisiatif ini adalah untuk memenuhi keperluan kemahiran digital yang

semakin meningkat di tempat kerja. Dengan kerjasama antara

Microsoft, JA Malaysia & PERKESO, inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk memberi

kesedaran mengenai kepentingan kemahiran sains data kepada 25,000

individu, diikuti dengan kursus kemahiran digital (analisis data, sains

data, DevOps, pembangunan perisian dan sokongan IT) serta laluan

kerjaya untuk 400 individu yang terpilih.

2. Siapakah yang layak bagi inisiatif ini?

A. Kursus Orientasi:

● Individu yang berminat serta ingin memulakan kerjaya dalam

Sains Data (termasuk lepasan sekolah berumur 18 tahun).

B. Program Kursus Kemahiran Digital:

● Graduan

● Penganggur

● Peserta yang menerima sijil dari Kursus Orientasi (mereka yangmempunyai markah kelulusan 70% ke atas bagi penilaian makmaldari Kursus Orientasi).

Penafian: PERKESO akan menjalankan pemprofilan peserta program Kursus

Kemahiran Digital berdasarkan syarat kelayakan.

3. Bagaimana untuk berdaftar?

Langkah 1: Klik sini dan seterusnya isi borang yang disediakan

Langkah 2: Terima emel daripada PERKESO dan mulakan Kursus

Orientasi. Peserta yag layak akan dijemput ke fasa seterusnya iaitu

*Program Kursus Kemahiran Digital.

Langkah 3: Kunjungi portal MYFutureJobs; klik pada Log Masuk (kiri) and

Log Masuk/Daftar (kanan). Sila lengkapkan profil anda.

4. Bagaimanakah penstrukturan MGSI 2021?

Terdapat dua program di bawah “Digital Skills for Tomorrow’s Jobs 2021”

– Kursus Orientasi dan program Kursus Kemahiran Digital.

● Kursus Orientasi

Selepas pendaftaran, Kursus Orientasi akan memberikan pendedahan

terperinci kepada peserta mengenai sains data dan kepentingannya

di tempat kerja pada hari ini. Berikut merupakan carta alir proses bagi

fasa ini untuk bilangan 25,000 orang peserta.

Nota:

1. Peserta adalah dinasihatkan agar membuat persediaan rapi bagi

penilaian makmal dalam talian kerana percubaan adalah sekali

sahaja.

2. Sijil hanya akan diberikan kepada peserta yang mempunyai markah

kelulusan 70% dan ke atas.

● Program Kursus Kemahiran Digital

Senarai laluan kerjaya yang disediakan adalah Analisa data, Sains

data, DevOps, Pembangunan perisian dan Sokongan IT. Hanya 400

peserta yang berjaya menyelesaikan program akan dipilih untuk

menyertai fasa ini. Proses bagi program ini adalah seperti berikut:

*Berdasarkan kekosongan

Seterusya, 400 peserta yang layak akan dijemput untuk menghadiri

latihan insaniah (soft skills) oleh JA Malaysia & jurulatih yang dilantik.

Latihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kebolehpasaran peserta dan

diikuti dengan laluan kepada peluang pekerjaan.

Peserta yang tidak berjaya untuk ditempatkan bekerja menerusi

program ini akan terus menerima notifikasi pekerjaan bagi kerjaya

yang dipilih serta makluman program lain yang berkaitan menerusi

portal MYFutureJobs.

5. Berapa lama tempoh untuk melengkapkan SETIAP program?

A. Kursus Orientasi

i. Program ini adalah berdasarkan aturan individu untuk

melengkapkan 3 modul dalam tempoh 2 – 4 jam. Dua jam

diperuntukkan untuk melengkapkan modul berkenaan,

manakala dua jam seterusnya diperuntukkan bagi penilaian

makmal dalam talian. Sila ambil maklum:

● Penilaian maklmal dalam talian WAJIB dilengkapkan dalam

masa 2 jam.

● Peserta hanya diberikan SATU peluang percubaan untuk

lulus penilaian ini.

● Markah kelulusan adalah 70% dan ke atas.

B. Program Kursus Kemahiran Digital

i. Program ini adalah berdasarkan aturan sendiri yang

memerlukan peserta untuk menjalani 4 buah kursus. Pada

penghujung setiap kursus, peserta perlu melengkapkan

penilaian makmal dalam talian.

ii. Peserta perlu melengkapkan semua kursus dari laluan kerjaya

yang dipilih untuk layak menjalani kursus insaniah dan peluang

penempatan pekerjaan.

6. Bilakah tarikh tutup untuk pendaftaran?

Program ini adalah berterusan, tetapi terhad kepada yang yang

terawal mendaftar. Daftar sekarang sebelum terlepas peluang ini.
