About Department:The Department of Chemical Engineering is one of the growing departments ofinstitute. The B. Tech. (Chemical Engineering) course was started in theacademic year 2009-10 with an intake of 30. Focus of Chemical EngineeringDepartment is towards undergraduate teaching as well as fundamental andapplied research in the variety of areas of current interest. Internet andlaboratory facilities are provided to the students. The department functions foran all round progress of Chemical Engineering students and thus helping theindustry and nation as a whole for its growth and development. It operatesmainly through three steps academics, research, and extension activity.

About the Course: Advances in Water Quality TechnologyA diploma course on “Advances in Water Quality Technology and Management”

Departmental Facility -Supporting to Course:Department of Chemical Engineering having well equipped Chemicalengineering and chemistry laboratories in which analytical part of water qualitysystem can be analyzed. Departmental internet and computing faculties are oneof the supporting facilities to this course. Environmental engineering and waterquality laboratory from Civil Engineering dept. is shared to this course.

About the Course: Advances in Water Quality TechnologyA diploma course on “Advances in Water Quality Technology and Management”is unique and comprehensive one-year course for UG Science & Engineeringstudent, which is on the concept of finishing school, and trained manpower isdirectly useful for industry. This course is going to carried out in collaborationwith reputed institutes like NEERI, IICT, VNIT and various industries to fulfilneed in the sector of wastewater treatment, drinking water, water qualitymonitoring and management and water system design etc. This is a self-financedcourse and approved by academic council of S.G.G.S.
