Students must be eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and already have a VRIDnumber, or be willing to submit a short referral form to get a VRID number.

Our mentors for this event are student cadets of the AFJROTC from Florida Prep and theEau Gallie High Schools. They will assist the students to complete their tasks as well asto complete the pre-event and post-event surveys.

All staff, volunteers and mentors will be level 2 background checked to participate!

Each student will need to be transported to the event, arrive on time, and commit to staying for the entire event. We will provide snacks, drinks and a full lunch.

We will be providing a “Pamper the Parent” area for parents during the entirety of the event, with specialty food and drinks, as well as sensory and relaxation activities just forthem! Let us spoil you while your student is exploring job opportunities.

Our judges will determine the winners of each task, and we will have an awards ceremony immediately following our lunch. All students will be recognized for their efforts, and we will have a swag bag for each participant!

The goal of Job-a-palooza is to introduce your student to job skills and potential employment opportunities, and to introduce local businesses to potential employees - and perhaps even set up an interview with one of the employers in attendance!

We will have representatives from the department of VR on site to provide more information about available services for your student, as well as vendors that will be on hand to provide information about job seeking, resume building, proper handshake, dressing for success, and much, much more!
