Lifestyles Distributor Success System Welcome to your Lifestyles journey to better health and wealth!

If you’re excited to get your business off the ground, Lifestyles offers a number of programs to help you start earning money right away.

This Distributor Success Guide is geared to help you get your new Lifestyles business firmly established. The strategies we will discuss in this training guide form the core of any successful Lifestyles business and should be practiced consistently by all Distributors – regardless of rank or standing within the company. These are Lifestyles best practices and the basis of our success.

Throughout your Lifestyles journey you will never be alone. With our comprehensive training, easy-to-understand business model and helpful support system, you’ll learn everything you need to know to build your network and maximize your income.

The Six Steps

Starting with the Six Steps is the true beginning of your journey to gaining better health and greater wealth. A Distributor who consistently works according to the Six Steps is considered by Lifestyles to be a core Distributor. A core Distributor is an individual who leads by example and by the actions they take on a daily basis.

Turn your “why” into step-by-step goals that will help you achieve success as you proceed through each level of the business.

These steps include the following:

• Review your “why” – then set priorities

• Create an action plan

• Identify how much time you are willing to dedicate to each goal

• Use the Activities Plan sheet in the appendix of this guide to help track your activities and progress

• Make copies of this sheet (one for each month) and then enter the information regarding your activities. This includes:

• How many presentations you accomplished

• How many people you sponsored

• How many orders you’ve placed, including those of your sponsor

• How many new Distributors you helped train through the new Distributor Success Guide

• The number of times you shared the Lifestyles Opportunity

Now that you have documented your “why” and created your action plan, consider the following:

• As a Distributor of Lifestyles, what kind of example do you want to set so that others can follow in your footsteps?

• What values, principles and beliefs do you choose to express?

The key to building your Lifestyles business is to plan ahead and prepare a targeted list of prospects. In this step, we’ll focus on how to build your contact list.

Let’s refine the contact list even further. To do this you will create what we call the “Red and Green Contact Lists”. These will become your best business assets!

Potential Business Opportunity contacts will be placed on the RED LIST.

Potential Product users will be placed on the GREEN LIST.

Review each contact and determine which list they should be placed on.

People on the RED list may be looking for the following:

• To supplement their income

• Take a vacation

• Have more free time to spend with family

• Put their kids through college

People on the Green list may be looking for the following:

• Want to live a healthier lifestyle

• Achieve total wellness

• Share products with family and friends

• Use the products

A helpful hint is to start your list with ‘hot prospects’ and work your way down to your ‘cold prospects’. Contact Lists are included in the Appendix.

Next StepsNow that you have established your two targeted lists of prospects (red & green) you can now work with your sponsor to plan your presentations and meetings for your targeted audiences. When you understand who your target audiences are, you will have an easier time deciding whether a Business or Product presentation will work best for you.

Now that you have completed Step Three and prepared your two lists of prospects, you can start building your Lifestyles business. In Step Four, we will discuss setting up appointments with your prospects so that you can begin to implement your personal plan for success. Your Contact List is your BEST Business Asset. Always add to it and refer back to it often.

We will now show you effective ways to schedule appointments with your prospects and how to introduce the subject of the Lifestyles Opportunity. Inviting prospects to a presentation or meeting is an important part of building your Lifestyles business.

Guidelines on how to schedule appointments over the phone include the following:

• Keep the conversation short – one to two minutes in length

• Be respectful of other people’s time, confirm that they have the time to speak with you and get permission to continue the conversation

• Keep your conversation friendly and courteous

• Explain that you started a new business or that you have great products that will interest them (This allows you to confirm whether or not you have the prospect correctly qualified and/or identified)

• Depending on how you want to approach this person, ask them for a brief meeting (one-on-one) or invite them to a Business Opportunity Presentation (BOP)

• Regardless of the prospect’s answer to your invitation, always ask for referrals

Making calls to people and inviting them to presentations can be difficult at the beginning but with practice it will get easier. Keep in mind that every conversation is another opportunity for you to refine your presentation skills.

As a Distributor, we will provide you with different types of meetings/presentations to accommodate your prospects’ needs. To make this simple, consistent and easy, we have included a BOP Flip Chart in your Distributor Kit – similar to the presentation that your sponsor presented to you. You will also find a recorded BOP in your PBC account that you can use to practice your presentation.

Later in this Success Guide, we will teach you how to deliver presentations to one or two people; or groups of 20 or 200.

Types of meetings/presentations we commonly use are the following:

One-on-one• A one-on-one is a meeting where you present to a prospect on your own

Two-on-one• A two-on-one is a meeting where your sponsor or another person from your

up-line presents to a prospect with you observing and learning

Home Meetings• This is where you present to two or more prospects, either in your home or the

prospect’s home• This is a larger meeting where many people will be in attendance

You are now ready to go out and meet with your prospects and introduce them to Lifestyles Products and the Opportunity.

Which Approach Do I Take

Whenever you meet someone new, the best way to get them talking is to ask them questions so you can decide how to introduce Lifestyles Products or the Opportunity. When you listen to others with interest, they will also become open to hearing what you have to say. To share the Lifestyles Opportunity, it is important to start conversations with people you may have never met before. Although it is often tempting to tell them your story, the secret to getting people interested in listening to you is to show that you are interested in them first.

The way we talk to people about the Lifestyles Opportunity is by using either the Business Approach or the Product Approach. We determine which approach is best in the same way we created the red and green contact lists:

1. Business Approach: Find a personal reason why the individual might be interested in the Lifestyles Opportunity. For example, the person might want to supplement their income, take a vacation, have more free time with their family or put their children through college.

2. Product Approach: Ask questions and listen to see if they are interested in a healthy lifestyle or interested in products that will help them achieve a healthy balance. Remind them that healthy people need our products too!

We’ve discussed different concepts and approaches to take and various ways to talk to prospects – now let’s do some role-playing to practice! Here are examples of some initial approaches you can use with a potential prospect:

• “If I could show you a way to make more money and at the same time have more energy and enjoy better health, would you be willing to listen?”

• “I’m so excited about something new I’ve found – can we sit down for a half-hour so I can discuss it with you?”

• “Can we get together for a half-hour so I can share this amazing opportunity with you?”

Here is an example of a meeting invitation and conversation with a Distributor and a prospect:

Distributor: “Hi Tom, I just started a new business that has me really excited about the income potential and the impact it has

on peoples’ lives. I’m just getting my business going and could really use your help. Can we meet this Thursday at 8:00 p.m.?”

Prospect: “What is this all about?”

Distributor: “Well Tom, I’m working with a health and nutrition company called Lifestyles. Have you heard of them? They are one of the fastest growing companies in the health and wellness industry and I’ve got the inside track. This is a tremendous company and I cannot do it justice in a few minutes over the phone, so come over and check it out this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. I promise that you won’t

be disappointed!”

Tip: Smile as you talk – this is something people can hear in your voice. It is better for you to stand during a call because it will help you project a more confident and positive voice.

Handling ObjectionsListed below are typical objections you may encounter with prospects.

Prospect: “Is this a network marketing company, or MLM?”

Distributor: “Yes, Lifestyles is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company also known as a network marking company. Lifestyles is governed by the Direct Selling Association. I can’t explain it all to you in a few minutes over the phone, so can we meet this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. to discuss the Opportunity and how it can change your life. I promise you won’t be disappointed!”

Prospect: “I’m very busy at this time!”

Distributor: “Tom, I totally understand but this is an opportunity that could change your life for the better! I want us to work together to develop another stream of income so you can enjoy more free time, financial security and better health for you and your family. The Opportunity has so much to offer I cannot do it justice over the phone.”

Prospect: “I’m busy on Thursday night.”

Distributor: “Is there another night that is more convenient for you? This is really important for me to share with you in person?”

Prospect: “No”

Distributor: “Ok then, I would like to drop off some information for you right away. I’ll drop off the information at around 7:00 p.m. tonight and I will follow up with you in the next few days to answer any questions you may have. “

or

Distributor: “I would like to mail you an information kit I have put together for you to review. I will follow up with you in a week to answer any questions you may have.”

Now try this and create your own script, one that suits your style. Ask your up-line for tips on the objections you might encounter and the best ways to handle them. Step Five is where you learn how to present the Opportunity.

You now know how to set up appointments with your prospects. In this step, we will focus on how you can introduce the Lifestyles opportunity to others.

What is a Business Opportunity Presentation?

A Business Opportunity Presentation (BOP) is a meeting where prospects are presented information about Lifestyles, the products and the business Opportunity so that they can decide how they want to become involved.

Purpose

The purpose of a BOP is to provide prospects with enough information for them to make an informed decision about Lifestyles. A successful presentation will give you either a “yes” or “no” answer. Even a “no” answer is considered successful because it means that you have given the prospect enough information for them to decide that Lifestyles is not for them at this time.

While the information being delivered is the same, there are different types of BOPs.

Two-on-one/one-on-oneTwo-on-one presentations are a great way to introduce Lifestyles to a prospect while learning how to deliver the presentation yourself. In a two-on-one presentation, your sponsor or a Distributor in your upline will deliver the presentation to your prospect while you observe. As you become more comfortable with the presentation, you will want to start doing the presentations yourself.

The one-on-one presentation involves you and your prospect and can be done anywhere, at any time. You can either use the PowerPoint BOP or if you are not comfortable delivering the presentation yourself, you can use the pre-recorded BOP which is available on your PBC account. With 24/7 access to your PBC, you can simply play the pre-recorded BOP to your audience or you can use the PowerPoint presentation and deliver it yourself.

In Home PresentationsUse the power of in-home presentations to grow your business to incredible proportions!

In-home presentations can be used as an introduction of the Lifestyles business and products to the host and guests. Anyone who attends an in-home presentation and is not already a Distributor has the potential to become a part of your Distributor’s down-line. Anyone can host an in-home presentation including you. In-home presentations give you the chance to present the Lifestyles Opportunity and products to several people at the same time. This is an efficient way to sponsor several people in one presentation. Offer to do an in-home presentation for everyone you know.

Large Business Opportunity PresentationsLarge Business Opportunity Presentations are usually held in a public venue such as a hotel or at a community centre. It is generally a much larger gathering of people than a home meeting, so it is unlikely you would set one up in the early stages of your business. However, there may already be a regularly organized BOP in your area. These presentations are great for collecting stories from different product users and business builders. The more product and business stories you collect at these meetings, the easier it will be to start conversations with potential prospects.

Elements of a Business Opportunity Presentation

Inviting GuestsRegardless of the type of presentation you plan to do, always refer to your contact list and get the names of the people you want to invite. You may decide when going through your contact list that you want to introduce Lifestyles to some people differently; one-on-one, two-on-one, a group in-home presentation or surrounded by the support of many other Distributors and customers in a large BOP that have many stories to share.

The Set UpIf you are delivering a one-on-one or two-on-one BOP, you will need your presentation tools and products to display and sample. For an in-home presentation, you should focus on the set up of the room. How many will attend? Where will they sit? Try to place the presenter away from the entrance of the room to avoid interruptions. If you are providing refreshments, keep it simple and inexpensive. Remember that what you do will be duplicated in your organization.

PracticeWhen you are the one delivering the presentation, practice in front of a mirror several times, until you are comfortable with the presentation.

The PresentationYou can deliver your presentation using either the Lifestyles power point BOP or the recorded BOP. Be honest, direct and polite with your prospects. Thank them for their time and attention, and deliver the information. The intention of the presentation is to give your prospects as complete a picture as possible of Lifestyles, the products, and the Opportunity. Your goal is not to convince them to join, but to make sure they fully understand the Opportunity you are offering so that they can make an informed decision.

The CloseAt the end of your presentation, close the meeting by asking everyone in the room to evaluate their intended level of involvement with Lifestyles. While the prospects are thinking about their involvement, hand each one a Distributor Agreement Form. Those who refuse the form have decided they do not want to participate at this time. Thank the person for their time and give the form to the next person.

Hold up the PrePaid Distributor Agreement Form and explain how to fill it out. If at an in-home presentation, walk around the room and offer to help fill out the form and answer any questions your guests may have.

TIPS• Get your sponsor to help with presentations, especially in the beginning

• Turn a “no” answer into a referral by asking if they know someone who would be interested in the Opportunity or would host an in-home presentation

• Try to include the prospect’s spouse or significant other in the presentation

• Often a prospect will want to consult with their significant other before joining

Testimonials are an important and necessary part of any Lifestyles meeting. People want to share their business and product stories as it helps recruit individuals to the business and motivates them to purchase products. Remember, testimonials should be short and to the point. The key is to be professional. Keep cultural, ethnic and gender differences in mind. Talking To People And Making Presentations

Do you get nervous when you talk to people you don’t know? This is not an unusual feeling and many people experience this. People get nervous when they feel they may not be familiar enough with a subject or topic. It is important to understand that your presentations do not need to be perfect. Presentations should be genuine and unique. The best thing you can do is use the products, believe in the products and develop your own story.

Tips for making effective presentations include the following:

• Be yourself

• Be relaxed - Sit (or preferably stand) in a comfortable position

• Make eye contact with the person or people you are speaking to

• Smile - A smile is the universal communication between two people

• Talk at a comfortable pace – Not too fast and not too slow (A simple hint – If the person you are talking to was speaking first, try to match their pace)

• Use confidence in your voice – Makes listening to you more believable

• Talk with your hands – A certain amount of physical animation is good

• Don’t keep loose change or anything else in your pockets as you may be distracted by it

• Don’t pace back and forth

• Don’t ramble on, keep your points simple, clear and concise

Additional Tips on Making Meetings Productive and Effective

A question we often hear is, “How can I hold a presentation where the people who attended leave with the thought that it was worth their time?”

Why Do People Attend Meetings?People come to presentations and meetings simply because you invited them. One of the key reasons people join a MLM company is simply because they know, like and trust you.

Remember, do not pre-judge the people you invited to attend your presentation or meeting. They may surprise you. What matters most is what happens at the meeting.

Who Is Welcome At Lifestyles Meetings?Everyone is welcome to attend a Lifestyles meeting regardless if they are a Distributor from another down-line.

Professional ConductIt is important to conduct yourself in a professional manner. Keep in mind that professionalism means different things to different people.

Some professional etiquette to keep in mind includes:
