As my academic achievements grow, so does my
understanding of what it means to be Jewish and my
connection to Israel.

JUDAICSTUDIESAt DKJA, Jewish living, learning, and academic achievement
permeate the entire educational experience. Connecting to
Israel is an invaluable component of the DKJA curriculum.
Students in upper grade levels have the opportunity to visit
and study in our homeland, Israel.
From the most ancient traditions and the wisdom of the
Torah, to the learning of modern Hebrew as it is spoken in
present-day Israel, the study and practice of what it means to
be Jewish today begins in Kindergarten and continues
through High School graduation.
Students thus acquire a heightened awareness of Jewish
heritage, culture, ethics, and values, so that Judaism becomes
a relevant and natural part of their daily lives.

Our Jewish values and philosophy of living lay the foundation for a unique understanding that brings richness, continuity, and beauty to every aspect of life.
Teachers are the face of education, the voice of
learning, the smile of caring, the eyes that see
each child as an individual.

FACULTYOur teachers are carefully selected for
their talent and their commitment to
the intellectual, social, and spiritual
development of our students. DKJA’s
low teacher-student ratio keeps class
sizes small while encouraging frequent
one-on-one interaction.

into every aspect of the educational process,
making learning more effective while teaching
students the skills they will need for success in
today’s world.
The Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt
Technology Program K-12 builds students’ skills
and facilitates collaboration. True integration of
technology in every classroom enables students
and teachers to share ideas and resources in a
digital environment while keeping abreast of and
implementing cutting–edge developments.

GLOBAL EDUCATIONAs we become socially, economically, and
politically interconnected, the need to understand
the world’s cultures and nations with a global
perspective becomes ever more critical to our
students’ future success.
DKJA students learn to build educational
partnerships around the world, and to discover
firsthand how to approach issues that affect
our planet.

REPAIRING THE WORLDDKJA has introduced an exciting program to teach
students of all grade levels about the deep interconnections
between Judaism and environmentalism: Shomrei
HaAdamah (Guardians of the Earth).
The goal of this initiative is to sensitize the students of
DKJA to their natural world and to foster an appreciation
of the Earth’s connection to their Jewish practices and
holidays. The initiative promotes healthy food choices,
waste reduction, recycling, reduction of campus-wide
energy usage, integrated pest management, gardening,
composting, and school–supported agriculture to create an
avid culture of environmental stewardship and Jewish
eco-active leaders.

“We’re more than a school...we’re a family.”
This is our philosophy, and we live by it
every day.
I AM DKJA
FAMILYAlmost every aspect of daily life at DKJA
revolves around family-centered values and
the sharing of traditions among the
generations—L’DorVador. Shabbat programs,
tefilah, lifecycle ceremonies, and cultural
performances—these are just a few ways in
which the DKJA family joins together to
share in the celebration of our Jewish living,
learning, and academic achievement.

“DKJA’s challenging K-12 curriculum not only provides the
strong base of knowledge required to succeed in college and
beyond—it also teaches students how to think both creatively
and critically.
DKJA was my academic haven. The extraordinary experiences
that this amazing school provided for me crafted my values
and aspirations; my academic ambitions were formed in
DKJA’s supportive atmosphere. It gave me the discipline and
inquisitiveness to succeed academically, the open-mindedness
to appreciate those around me, and the confidence to pursue
my dreams. DKJA’s emphasis on personal development is
unparalleled, and that is what I cherish.
My days at DKJA were the foundation for my life today. Every
day, I draw on my experiences from DKJA as I teach the
leaders of tomorrow, instilling strong Jewish values. Every day,
I learn how much I really know, thanks to DKJA.”
