The Weekly Wave is one of the tools that we use
to share important information with our families.
1. Read-a-Thon – THE READ-A-THON WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!
The top fundraisers in Division One and Two and Three were: Emma F., Jax F., Hazel M. Korbin R.
Kindergarten top fundraisers: Bruce M., Brooklyn, R. Second and third place fundraisers in Division One and Division Two and
Three were: Jaxon B., Emma W., Vada M., Rylynd M., Gabriella B., Aziel, Hannah M.
Students also won prizes for reading the most minutes in their class. The winner of the 200.00 VISA giftcard was Hazel C. in Grade One. Many students who read every day and returned their reading envelopes and
signed recording sheets won other prizes. The class pizza party for the class with the highest participation was Mrs.
Franzen’s Grade Two class. We would like to thank all of you for your support. Thank you to Laser Quest, Calgary for the donation of free games. Thank you to the Trico Centre for the donation of two family day passes. We would also like to thank Mrs. Windsor for getting donations for this event. We raised a total of 4557.00 Our students read 51 299 minutes!
2. School Council News Next meeting November 14th @ 7 p.m.
School Council is also offering the opportunity for families to purchase
Christmas poinsettias and other flower arrangements. All purchases support our
school. Orders must be placed by November 21st. Cheques can be written to Don
Bosco School Council.
3. St. Vincent de Paul We thank you for your generous donations.
4. Healthy Hunger
Healthy Hunger lunches are available every Monday.
Make sure to order online for the following week at https://healthyhunger.ca/
Orders are due 5 days ahead of the scheduled lunch. You must set up an
account in order to order a Healthy Hunger lunch.

6. Breakfast Club – There is no charge for the Breakfast Club. We are happy to feed children who may not have had breakfast at home from 8:20 to 8:35
7. Donations of Games! As the cold weather approaches, we are looking for games that we can use for indoor
recess. If you have any games that you can donate that are appropriate for our
students, we would be happy to accept them. You can send them to the office, and
