CompanyThe tale of a dream

Established in 1968 by the will of its two founding members, Pietro Paolo Bergamaschi and Diano Tura, today

Dorelan B&T S.D.A. is a leading company in the manufacture of mattresses, bed springs, bed bases, pillows

and accessories for the bed for use in hotels and in private homes. Our over 40 years of business experience,

the relentless search for innovation and the technology of our production facilities make our products appreciated

both by the hotel industry and private home owners. The Company's policy has always been veered toward heavily

investing resources on all the main functions of the value chain.

Manufacturing plants: Our factories cover a total 60,000 square meters and are where all production, ware-

housing, logistics in and out and administration departments are based. There is no need to resort to outsourcing.

New manufacturing plant of 40,000 sq. m. located on the branch of Highway A14 (Bologna - Forlì), fully powered

by photovoltaic panels and constructed with a highly efficient plant design method, meant to guarantee the ut-

most respect and protection for the environment.

Technological Capital: 4 different production lines along which 1,500 articles are manufactured each day.

Product range: mattresses with springs with Bonnell technology, mattresses with springs with LFK technology,

mattresses with Independent Springs, Latex mattresses, mattresses in Myform (3 in hi-performing polyurethane),

fixed, manual and electric Wooden Nets, Iron Nets, Pillows in Myform, latex, fibre and feather.

Customers: 4,000 retailers spread across all of Italy and 1,500 customers in the hotel-tourist sector.

Turnover in 2010: 31,700,000.00 ¤ with a steady growth of 15% over the course of the past 5 years.

Single-Brand Stores: since 2002, the Company has launched a plan to open single-brand Dorelan stores, based

on a logic that can be likened to franchising. Once B&T S.D.A. has found the affiliate and screened their profile,

it makes its displaying structure available and all of its marketing Know-how, so that value can be generated for

the franchisor.

There are presently 65 single-brand stores across the territory.

Communication: advertising on specialised industry magazines and widespread newspapers, health-content

inserts, medical journals. Since 1999, TV campaigns are launched each year on the 3 TV channels of the RAI net-

work (State-owned Television).

Research and Development: B&T S.D.A. has for more than 3 years now been working with the Psychology De-

partment of the University of Bologna, which has conducted research on human sleep that has clearly pointed

to the fact that Dorelan brand products perform consistently better than those used up till now, judging on a sta-

tistically significant sample of subjects who underwent the test.

Certification: UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 (VISION 2000), HOMOLOGATION IN CLASS 1 IM for fireproof products, IMO

CERTIFICATE for naval supplies.

Directive 93/42/EEC: The mattresses of the Myform line are classified as Medical Devices based on Directive

93/42/EEC. Directive that allows the end consumer to partly detract taxes from the cost of the mattress as a

medical expense.

Acknowledgements: for 5 consecutive years (2002 – 2003 – 2004 – 2005 – 2006) B&T S.D.A. has been awarded

the Europe’s 500, an award reserved to the 500 top companies on a European level that over the previous three-

year period have increased their sales by no less than 50% and whose staff employed inhouse has organically

grown by more than 30%. B&T S.D.A. has furthermore been awarded in 2007 the Excellent Companies award, a

survey sponsored and organised by Eurispes on the 100 top performing companies in 2006 in terms of the overall

improvement in the quality of their products and manufacturing processes.

References: over the course of 2005, B&T S.D.A. has won a tender to supply all of the Olympic village that hosted

the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin. During the first months of 2006, B&T S.D.A. has secured supply con-

tracts with the primary Italian cruising companies.

SpringsTechnology and comfort

INDEPENDENTThe Independent Springs in steel, individually lined and then assembled, each flex and stretch independently of

the other, so that each position of the mattress system created has total freedom of movement. The mattresses

with Independent Springs by Dorelan are divided in 7 areas with Differentiated Lift. The different lift levels are

determined by the number of springs fitted in the mattress and by the diameter of the thread that forms the

spring. With this particular mechanism, the different lying areas of the mattress respond to stimuli impressed

on it by the body, shaping exactly to the user's posture and therefore offering the correct support to each single

vertebra od the backbone. The independent springiness offered by Dorelan's hotel line presents two possible

solutions, the 326 Springs per m² or the 560 Springs per m².

LFKThe LFK, Leicht-Feder-Kern (Light Weight Innerspring) spring type is presented by Dorelan as a revolutionary

system for the utmost comfort and extreme resistance. Each single Cylinder-shaped spring is made of a pho-

sphated steel wire. A tempering treatment makes them deformation-proof. The type of steel wire used

and the assembly procedure have allowed systems formed by LFK springs to pass severe technical tests and

inspections, proving that the product does not lose its starting physical – mechanical features and shape.

The mattresses with LFK springiness have for years been supplied by Dorelan to the biggest and most important

Italian crusie ship companies, a clear seal of protection of the quality of the offer and of the product's durability

over time. LFK springiness proposed by Dorelan as part of its hotel line has 255 Springs per m².

BONNELThe Bonnel spring type stand apart for their performance and highest level of comfort. Each single Bi-cone sha-

ped spring is made of a phosphated steel wire. A tempering treatment makes them deformation-proof. Use of

the Bonnel spring is recommended to those who prefer to sleep on mattresses with traditional springs over

other types. The springs are assembled with a spiral, it too made of steel wire, that ensures a perfect junction

and at the same time the work ensemble of the springs.

The Bonnel springiness proposed by Dorelan as part of its hotel line presents 140 Springs per m².

Myform e PUEComfort and innovation

MYFORMMyform is a patented material exclusively manufactured by Dorelan, the fruit of countless tests and rigorous re-

search. In designing its products, Dorelan relies on the cooperation and partnership of several specialists, such

as university professors, physicians, allergists. Myform is a new line of products born out of a careful analysis

and the observation of the changing needs of the consumer. It targets an especially demanding public with a ten-

dency for a sought-out and consumption mindful of hygiene and health issues. Myform is anallergic material.

Its transpiring action dissipates moisture, creating the perfect conditions to get rid of the insurgence of mites

and other parassites that cause allergies.

These materials are a guarantee, considering that they have undergone countless tests. Myform , more specifi-

cally, has successfully obtained Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certification. This is the highest acknowledge-

ment that can be obtained, as materials that are certified with this class can be used for products that come

into contact with children under 36 months old.

Myform Memory

Myform in the Memory version is used in certain mattresses of the hotel line, making rest and sleep incredibly

comfortable. The Myform Memory, noble polyurethane with high density, 65 Kg per m³, is fully heat-sensitive

and, as a matter of fact, human body heat influences the molecular structure of this exceptional material,

which adjusts to perfectl follow the body's shape.

Myform Extension

Myform Extension, high-density noble polyurethane, 45 Kg per m³, thanks to its features is mostly used in

the middle portion of the mattress to ensure the right support to the body. Its cell-like structure makes for

its outstanding performance in terms of resistance to deformation and elasticity over time.

PUE

Flexible Expanded Polyurethane, high-density polyurethane 30 Kg per m³ has long been used to make hotel

and hospital mattresses in the most varied of heights. Typical characteristics of the mattresses

formed with this type of polyurethane, that is commonly referred to as "simple", are their incredible resistance

to deformation and a weight per m² that is smaller compared to products with springs or Myform.

COMFORT SUITE

Reserch by Dorelan is continuously projected to the discovery of new and effective solutions that can improve

the quality of its products. Which is why it has conceived the Comfort Suite, a padded layer sown on the surfaces

of the mattress that considerably increases its comfort. Several products of the new Dorelan Hotel collection

can be lined with liners that use the valuable Comfort Suite system.

This extraordinary solution enriches the mattress from the point of view of its performance and cosiness, and it

has furthermore been scientifically proven that products that feature the Comfort Suite by Dorelan considerably

reduce the time required to fall asleep.

To make your mattress even more customizable, Dorelan has developed two versions of the Comfort Suite: the

basic version in anallergic Polyester fibre and its spin-off into the Myform Memory. The chief oddity of the version

made out of anallergic Polyester fibre is the exceptional softness and sheer comfort guaranteed by the out-

standing material that forms the padding, without forgetting to mention the Elasticized Anallergic Fabric that

distinguishes most of the products that feature the Comfort Suite.

The Comfort Suite in Myform Memory, proposed in four precious models of the Hotel line, no doubt is an ex-

pression of all the effort put into research and in evolving Dorelan products over these years. The Comfort Suite

developed in Myform Memory, a heat-sensitive material with gradual deflation and a density of 65 Kg/m³

adapts its shape to perfectly contour the body. The valuable Dorelan mattresses featuring the Comfort Suite in

Myform Memory, are exclusively lined in Elasticized Anallergic Fabric that greatly boosts its performance.

Ascoli Fabric

Ascoli Fabric

The Ascoli Fabric that lines most of our mattresses and bed springs of the range represents the ideal solution

to make last-generation hotel products.

Consisting of a Polyester fibre and highly resistant fire-proof SBY Modacrylic, first woven and then quilted.

The Ascoli Jacquard Fabric is a type of lining mainly used in the basic products of the hotel line.

It is fully fire-proof in its inner structure.

Elasticized Fabric

The Elasticized Fabric is singled out as the grand lining for the most valuable mattresses of the hotel line by

Dorelan.

Formed 100% by highly resistant Polyester fibre and by a woven and quilted Stop Fire Polyester fibre.

The Elasticized Fabric is totally Anallergic and 100% treated against Mites.

An essential feature of this type of fabric is the outstanding elasticity that sets it apart; in fact, it allows for top

protection on the outside of the mattress and lasts longer than any other fabric.

The Elasticized Fabric is also especially hygienic, transpiring and extremely comfortable.

WarrantySafety and reliability

All Dorelan products are supplied with warranty coverage for any flaws resulting from the manu-

facturing process or in the material.

DORELAN products are compliant with safety standards and are subjected to diligent production controls, as re-

quired by the Quality Management System of the manufacturing company, certified according to UNI EN ISO

9001:2008 (for activities involving the production of mattresses and pillows).

The term "WARRANTY" holds an important and offical meaning for Dorelan and is considered a solid commit-

ment toward all consumers and its customers.

Warranty stands for the repair or replacement entirely free of charge of the mattress or its flawed components,

occurred in their manufacture or in the material.

All Dorelan mattresses, independently of the lines they belong to, are covered by warranty for defects stemming

from the production process that may appear over the course of the 5 years after the exact date of delivery.

JUNCTION HINGESThe single mattresses can be supplied with a junction hinge on

each side that makes it possible to arrange two of them side

by side to obtain a perfect kingsize mattress with simplicity

and efficiency.

To ensure an even better anchoring, the hinge is sown together

with the hem of the mattress; this designer solution makes

it imperceptible while resting.

JUNCTION HOOKSThe junction hooks can be used to create a kingsize sommier

by coupling two single ones; thanks to this accessory, the two

elements are solidly connected, to respond to any type of re-

quirement with flexibility and efficiency.

The junction belts are supplied already assembled on our sin-

gle sommiers.

BAYONETSFor combinations with a headboard, the sommiers can be sup-

plied with bayonets, simple coupling systems that remain

discreetly concealed and provide total junction stability.

These accessories are supplied on request by the customer

and, as a matter of fact, create a junction between the sommier

and headboard that is so solid to make them look as though

they were one whole.
