MK technologydeveloped this vest model according to the demands of the German Ministryof Interior (BMI) and the German Technical Guideline (TRL) Body protection light February 1998.

Blow/stab protection (without ballistic) in compliancewith the German Technical Guideline (TRL) Body

protection light (35Nm) February 1998, i.e. theprotection level increases in conjunction with ballistic

German TRL Bulletproof vests December 2003(correspond to threat level NIJ3A) are fulfilled by acombination of blow/stab inserts and ballistic layers.

In contrary to a ring tissue an aluminum anti-stab

protection offers a high resistance against stitches

with bike spokes, awls etc. The body armor without

the ballistic insert should be used in situations wherethe use of firearms is almost improbable; i.e. within areas

with an access control like prisons, tribunals, big events with
