Last date for Online Application : 11-7-20171. Applications are invited from female candidates who have passed MSc (Nursing) /

PBBSc (Nursing)/BSc(Nursing) for grant of Short Service Commission in theMilitary

Nursing Service.

2. Nationality - Must be a citizen of India

3. Qualification & Registration: Should have passed MSc (Nursing) /PBBSc (Nursing)

/BSc(Nursing) from INC recognized University and be a registered Nurse and Midwife

from a State Nursing Council (The candidate will be required to bring original and self

attested copies of marksheet, passing certificate and valid State Registration certificate

at the time of interview).

4. Date of Birth - Between 10 Jul 1982 and 11 Jul 1996 (Both days inclusive).

5. Physical Fitness: Medical fitness will be assessed as per Military Standards by Military

Authorities. X-Ray examination of Chest and USG (of abdomen) will be done. The physical

fitness of selected candidates will finally be determined by a Medical Board under

arrangement made by the office of DGAFMS. Pregnancy would be a cause of temporary

rejection.

6. Method of Selection:

(a) Written test : Only eligible candidates will be called for a written test to be conducted

during the first/Second week of Aug 2017. The written test of 100 marks will consist of

objective type questions based on Nursing, English language and Gen intelligence.

There is no negative marking. The OMR based evaluation of the answer sheets will be

done at IHQ of MoD(Army) and the result of successful shortlisted candidates will be

declared online on the army website with the instructions for interview by Aug/Sep 2017.

Confirmation of the result will be the individual responsibility of the candidates. This

Office wil l not be responsible for informing the result individually.

(b)Interview and medical examination: A required number (not more than three times of

vacancies) of shortlisted candidates of the written test, in the order of merit will be called

for interview during the month of Sep/Oct 2017 at Delhi. Thereafter, only the candidates

who have cleared the interview wil l be subjected to Medical Examination.

The process of interview and medical examination may take 2-5 days. Arrangement

for accommodation will be individual responsibility. Only the required number of shortlisted

candidates (as per vacancy and merit) who are pronounced medically fit in all respect

will be sent call letters to report to the various hospitals in Armed Forces. No

correspondence/queries will be entertained. The decision of the Board for written test

and interview will be final. Candidates declared FIT/UNFIT will be informed by the

President of the Medical board including the procedure of requesting for APPEAL/REVIEW

MEDICAL BOARD. The candidates called for interview will be paid Sleeper class Railway

fare from the place of residence to the place of interview/medical examination and back

only on submission of the original tickets. The candidate called for interview, if found not

in the possession of documents as per eligibility criteria, will be rendered ineligible to

appear for the interview and the selection is liable to be cancelled. In such cases no TA

will be applicable.

7. Marital status: Single/Married/Divorcee or otherwise legally separated/

Widow

8. Employability: Candidates selected for grant of SSC in the MNS will be liable to serve

for five years extendable to a total tenure of fourteen (5+5+4) years, anywhere in India

in the same way as Military Nursing Service (Regular) Officers of the Armed Forces

(Army, Navy and Air Force). No request will be entertained on choice of posting through

any means in the first five years of service.

9. Emoluments: On completion of the pre-commissioning formalities, the

candidates will be granted the rank of Lieutenant with the monthly Basic Pay of Rs15,600 + Grade Pay Rs 5,400/- + Military Service Pay- Rs 4,200/- + DA and other Allowanceas per prevailing rates. Entitled ration, accommodation and allied facilities will also be

offered.

10.Promotion:(a)Promotion of Short Service Commission Nursing Officers is as under:-

Note- Nursing Officers with B Sc Nursing qualification are eligible for one year antedate of

commission; Nursing Officers with M Sc Nursing qualification are eligible for two years

antedate of commission and one year antedate for each completed year of previous

service rendered in Nursing Profession after fully qualifying as nurse midwife in a Govt

recognized Hospital/Medical College/Health Institute subject to a max of 2 years antedate

and provided that previous service was not terminated on grounds of unsuitability or

misconduct or profound professional negligence or indiscipline or any other disciplinary

ground. In case of a candidate who is eligible for ante date under more than one of the

preceding clauses, the total period of ante date will be limited to two years. The period of

antedate will neither carry any back pay in any case nor will it count for gratuity as per rules.

11.Permanent Commission: SSC Officers of the MNS will be considered for grant of

permanent commission as per existing rules as amended from time to time. They will be

subjected to interview by a Selection Board duly constituted for the same. However, the

grant of Permanent Commission will be subject to availability of vacancies and as per

existing rules as amended from time to time.

12.Written examination centres: The written examination will be conducted at Lucknow

and Pune during the first/second week of Aug 2017. The examination date will be intimated

on the website at the time of filling of application form. In case a need to add another

centre arises due to more number of applicants, then the same will be intimated in the

website accordingly.

13.How to apply:(a) The online application will be hosted on the web page of www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

The procedure for filling up of the application form, payment, admit card and subsequent

processing will be available on the same website.

• Candidates may apply online through www.joinindianarmy.nic.in which will be

accessible from 27 Jun 2017 to 11 Jul 2017. Eligibility of the candidate will be known

while submitting the online application.

• The candidate’s email ID is the user ID for this website and the candidate will select

their own password. This email ID is the only user ID for the whole process. Candidates

should use the same active email ID during the whole process.

• The candidates who have already registered in the www.joinindianarmy.nic.in site will

need to log in with their previous/old ID only. The website will not allow an already registered

candidate to re- register. Any candidate facing such problem is requested to clarify at

[email protected].

• The candidates should keep file (soft copy) of passport size photograph (size 3.5 X 3.5

cms) taken in the light background in jpeg format and file of scanned copy (jpeg/pdf

format) of signature of the candidates ready, before filling online application. These files

have to be attached to the online application, hence are necessary. File size should be

between 5 Kb- 20Kb. ..4/-

• The eligible candidates will only be able to pay an amount of Rs 200/-(Rupees Two

Hundred only) through payment gateway from the system for making the payment. No

payment will be accepted after the last date of submission of application. The e-mail of

payment link will be sent at candidate’s registered e-mail ID within 24-72 hrs of filling the

application successfully. Candidates are required to make payment minimum after 24-

48hrs after receipt of the link of payment. Candidates are requested to make payment only

after activation of the link which may take up to 72 hrs. Any difficulties faced in payment

after 72 hrs of link activation can be clarified via e-mail only at [email protected].

• After making the payment, the candidate will be able to complete the online submission

of the application. The bank will issue a transaction no. (eg DU000008).

• The registration number of application and online payment transaction number are

required to be saved for further inquiries/correspondence.

• After successfully submitting the application, the candidate will not be able to edit or

change any mandatory field in the application, hence need to fill the application carefully.

• The admit card (2-3 pages) for the written test can be generated only online during last

week of July 2017. The candidate should affix her self-attested photo on the printout of

admit card if not able to upload the same during application filling and sign the application.

Photograph and signatures on the completed application with admit card is mandatory for

appearing for CET.

Call up for SSB. Candidates will be issued call up forService Selection Board (SSB) interview based on theirperformance during campus interviews.Minimum percentage on Joining INA. THE INDIAN NAVYINVITES APPLICATIONS FROM UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES FOR ENROLMENT AS STEWARDS,

CHEFS AND HYGIENISTS FOR MR - APR 2018 BATCH COURSE COMMENCING APRIL 2018ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

1. Online applications are invited from unmarried malecandidates (who fulfill eligibility conditions as laid downby the Government of India).

2. Educational Qualification. Candidate must havepassed Matriculation Examination or equivalentfrom a recognised Board.

3. Job Specifications.(a)Chef. They would be required to prepare food as per

menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian includinghandling of meat products) and accounting of ration. Inaddition, they will also be allotted other duties as perService requirement.

(b)Steward. They would be required to serve food in theofficers messes, as waiters, housekeeping, accountingof funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. Inaddition, they will also be allotted other duties as perService requirement.

(c)Hygienist. They will be required to maintain hygiene inwash rooms and other areas. In addition, they will alsobe allotted other duties as per Service requirement.

4. Age. Candidates should be born between 01 Apr1997 to 31 Mar 2001 (Both dates inclusive).

PAY AND PERQUISITES

5. Pay & Allowances. During the initial training period, astipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible.On successful completion of initial training, they will beplaced in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (f 21,700-f43,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ f 5200/-per month plus DA (as applicable).

6. Promotion. Promotion prospects exist up to the rank ofMaster Chief Petty Officer-I, i.e. Level 8 of the DefencePay Matrix (f 47,600- f 94,100) plus MSP @ f 5200/- permonth plus DA (as applicable). Opportunities forpromotion to commissioned officer also exist for thosewho perform well and qualify the prescribedexaminations.

7. Perquisites.

(a)During the entire period of training and thereafter, sailorsare given books, reading material, uniform, food andaccommodation etc. free of cost.

(b)Sailors are entitled to medical treatment, Leave TravelConcessions for self and dependents, Group HousingBenefits and other privileges. Sailors are also entitledto Annual and Casual Leave, Children Education andHouse Rent Allowances. Post retirement benefitsinclude pension, gratuity and Leave encashment. Allperquisites are ex-tended as per service conditions andtheir eligibi li ty/admissibil ity is regulated as pergovernment orders in force and amended from time totime.

8. Insurance Cover. Insurance cover (on contribution)of Rs 37.50 lakhs for all sailors is applicable.

9. Selection of recruits is based on the order of meriton their performance in Written Test, qualifyingPhysical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in MedicalExaminations.

10.Written Test.The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English)and objective type.The question paper will comprise of two sections i.e.Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge.Duration of examination will be 45 minutes.

11.The syllabus for the examination is available on websitewww.joinindiannavy.gov.in. The candidates are

required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

(a)Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory forselection.

(b)PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups.

Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their ownrisk.

12.Advisory: Proficiency in sports, swimming and extra-curricular activities is desirable. Medical Standards.of

(a)Medical examination will be conducted by authorisedmilitary doctors as per medical standard prescribed incurrent regulations applicable to sailors on entry.

(b)Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest shouldbe proportionate. Minimum Chest expansion 5 cms.Height may be relaxed for Tribal candidates as per theprevailing regulations.

(c) The candidate must be in good physical and mentalhealth, free from any defect likely to interfere with theefficient performance of duties both ashore and afloatunder peace as well as war conditions as per NavyOrder (Special) 01/2008. Extract of the Navy Order canbe accessed from the official recruitment website.

(d) Initial Medical Examination for recruitment will beconsidered only ‘Provisionally fit subject to fitness inthe final medical examination’. Final MedicalExamination of all selected candidates will be doneat INS Chilka. Candidates who are found medically fitat final medical examination will be enrolled fortraining.

13.Note:-Candidates are advised to get their earscleaned for wax and tartar removed from teeth priorto examination.Visual Standards.

14.Tattoos. Permanent body tattoos are only permittedon inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow tothe wrist and on the reverse side of palm/ back(dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on anyother part of the body is not acceptable and candidatewill be barred from recruitment.

TRAINING AND INITIAL ENGAGEMENT

15.Training. The training for the course will commence inApril 2018, with 15 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka

followed by Professional training in the allotted trade invarious Naval Training Establishments.to bedischarged as “UNSUITABLE” due to unsatisfactory

16.Discharge as Unsuitable. Sailors are liableperformance at any time during the training.

17.Initial Engagement. The initial engagement is subjectto successful completion of training. The init ialengagement is for a period of 15 years.

SELECTION PROCEDURE18.The applications are to be filled online on website

www.joinindiannavy.gov.in and all requireddocuments in original are to be scanned anduploaded. The selection procedure is as follows:-

(a)The ‘Online’ applications alongwith the requiredcertificates will be sorted out State wise. The qualifyingcut off percentage of a particular State may be increasedif more number of applications with higher percentageare received. Short-listing criteria will be based on classXth percentage.

(b)Call up Letter-cum-Admit Cards (CLACs) for eligibleshort listed candidates indicating date, time and placefor recruitment tests, which are scheduled during Sep/Oct 2017, would be required to be downloaded fromthe official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. TheCall up Letter-cum-Admit Cards will be tentativelyuploaded on website by End Aug 2017. No separateCall up Letter-cum-Admit Card will be issued.Candidates can be allotted any centre view administrativereasons.

(c) All original certificates, mark sheets and NCCcertificate (if held) and Call up Letter-cum-Admit Cards(CLACs) are to be produced at the time of writtenexamination. If the details provided in ‘onlineapplication’ are not matching with original documents,your candidature will be cancelled.

(d)Results of the Written Test will be announced on thesame day and those who qualify written test will undergoPFT and Recruitment Medical Examination(Preliminary), which may take 1-2 days.

(e)Candidates declared Temporary Medically Unfit in theinitial recruitment medical could avail specialist reviewfrom the specified Military Hospital within a maximumperiod of 21 days. No further review/ appeal ispermissible if declared unfit in the specialist review.

(f) Candidates declared Permanent Medically unfit in therecruitment medical can appeal for specialist opinionin a Military Hospital on payment of Rs 40/- by MilitaryReceivable Order (MRO) on Government Treasury within21 days. Medical fitness certificate other than that ofthe specialist opinion in a not registered already. TheE-mail Id will be used for all future communication.

‘Log-in’ with the registered E-mail Id and Click on‘Current Opportunities’.

(d)Click on ‘Apply’ (V) button.

(e)Fill up the Form completely. Before clicking the ‘Submit’button make sure all the details are correct and allrequired documents are scanned in original anduploaded.

(f) Online applications will be further scrutinised foreligibility and may be rejected if found not eligible in anyrespect.

(g)Photograph. THE PHOTOGRAPH TO BE UPLOADEDSHOULD BE OF GOOD QUALITY WITH BLUEBACKGROUND.

Note:- (i) A Candidate is required to specify clearly in theonline application form the entry for which he wishesto be considered in order of his preference [i.e 3(a) to3(c)].

(ii) He is also advised to indicate as many preferences ashe wishes to opt so that having regard to his rank inorder of merit due consideration can be given to hispreferences when making appointments.

(x) Candidates serving in Government / quasi govt offices/ Public Sector Undertakings(including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions) are required to produce a“No Objection Certificate” from their employer, in the absence of which their candidaturewill not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will notbe paid. The No Objection Certificate should not be issued for appearing in interviewfor selection to any particular participating organization as the Common RecruitmentProcess is for all participating organisations. PROVISIONAL ALLOTMENT : On completion of the interview process / mainexamination, depending on the vacancies to be filled in as per the business needsof the RRBs and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionallyallotted to one of the RRBs, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view thespirit of Govt. ii. Proper document from Board / University for havingdeclared the result on or before 01.08.2017 has tobesubmitted at the time of interview for the posts ofOfficers (Scale I, II and III) and at the time of joining forthe post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose). The dateof passing the eligibility examination will be the dateon the mark-sheet or provisional certificate issued byUniversity / Institute. In case the result of a particularexamination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute and web based certificate is issued thenproperdocument/certificate in original issued andsigned by the appropriate authority of the University /Institute indicatingthe date of passing properlymentioned thereon will be reckoned for verification andfurther process.

iii. Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained inGraduation calculated to the nearest two decimals inthe online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded,the same should be converted into percentage andindicated in online application. If called for interview,the candidate will have to produce a certificate issuedby the appropriate authority inter alia stating that thenorms of the University regarding conversion of gradeinto percentage and the percentage of marks scoredby the candidate in terms of norms.

iv. Calculation of Percentage: The percentage marksshall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtainedby thecandidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjectsirrespective of honours / optional / additional optionalsubject, if any. This will be applicable for thoseUniversities also where Class / Grade is decided onbasis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentageso arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated asless than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than55%.*Proficiency in local language - For recruitment ofOfficer Scale I & Office Assistant (Multipurpose),proficiency in local language as specified below shallbe an essential qualification:-

o Candidates who have already studied the language ofthe State in standard VIII or any level above standardVIII in Government recognized Boards of Education/School or having any certificate to the effect for standardVIII or any level above standard VIII would be consideredproficient in that local language.

o Where the candidate does not meet the aforesaidrequirement in local language at the time of selection,he will be given a time of six months from the date ofjoining to acquire the proficiency. This period can beextended by the Boards of RRBs within the frameworkof the rules and provided that such extension shouldnot be beyond the probation period.

D.ONLINE EXAMINATION STRUCTURE-The structure of the Examinations which will beconducted online are as follows:Preliminary Examination (objective)* Office Assistant(Multipurpose)

PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS (APPLICABLE TO ALL- PRELIMINARY, MAIN AND SINGLELEVELEXAMINATIONS) :There will be penalty for wronganswers marked in the Objective Tests. For eachquestion for which a wrong answer has been given by

the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assignedto that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive atcorrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answeris marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty forthat question.

F. CUTOFF SCORE : For Office Assistant(Multipurpose) - Each candidate will be required toobtain a minimum score in each test of Online Mainexamination to be considered to be shortlisted forprovisional allotment. Depending on the number ofvacancies available in each state, candidates will beshortlisted for provisional allotment.For Officers Scale I - Each candidate will be requiredto obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Mainexamination to be considered to be shortlisted forinterview. Depending on the number of vacanciesavailable, adequate number of candidates in eachcategory not exceeding three times of the declaredvacancies in each state shall be called for interview,subject to availability. Prior to the completion of theinterview process, scores obtained in the online mainexamination will not be shared with the candidatesshortlisted for interview.For Officers Scale II and III - Each candidate will berequired to obtain a minimum score in each test ofOnline Single examination to be considered to beshortlisted for interview. Depending on the number ofvacancies available, adequate number of candidatesin each category not exceeding three times of thedeclared vacancies shall be called for interview, subjectto availability. Prior to the completion of the interviewprocess, scores obtained in the onl ine mainexamination will not be shared with the candidatesshortlisted for interview. Mere passing in individual testsmay not be sufficient as candidates should also scoresufficiently high on Total score in order of merit to becalled for interviews / provisional allotment. Decisionof IBPS in short-l isting and calling numbers ofcandidates for Common Interview / provisionalallotment shall be Final.

G. SCORES OBTAINED IN THE ONLINE EXAMINATION(Preliminary / Main / Single)The corrected scoresobtained by each of the candidates in different sessions(if held) will be normalized using equipercentilemethod. Scores upto two decimal points shall be takenfor the purpose of calculation.FOR THE POST OF OFFICE ASSISTANT(MULTIPURPOSE) - MARKS OBTAINED ONLY IN THEMAIN EXAMINATION WILL BE CONSIDERED FORFINAL MERIT LISTING. FOR THE POST OF OFFICERSSCALE I - MARKS OBTAINED ONLY IN THE MAINEXAMINATION WILL BE CONSIDERED FORSHORTLISTING FOR INTERVIEW AND FINAL MERITLISTING. FOR THE POST OF OFFICERS SCALE II(GENERALIST AND SPECIALIST) AND SCALE III -MARKS OBTAINED IN THE SINGLE LEVELEXAMINATION WILL BE CONSIDERED FORSHORTLISTING FOR INTERVIEW AND FINAL MERITLISTING.

H. EXAMINATION CENTERS• The examination will be conducted online in venues

• No request for change of centre for Examination shallbe entertained.

• IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel any of theExamination Centres and/ or add some other Centres,at its discretion, depending upon the response,administrative feasibility, etc.

Banda, Warangal, Anantapur, Naharlagun(Papumpare), Guwahati, Ajmer, Raibareilly, Begusarai,Chhindwara, Guntur, Raipur, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar,Srinagar, Lucknow, Mandi, Jammu, Ranchi, Dharwad,Varanasi, Mysore, Mallapuram, Patna, Sangrur, Imphal,Jodhpur, Shillong, Udaipur, Aizawl, Kohima, Indore,Bhubaneshwar, Salem, Virudhunagar, Howrah,Moradabad, Puducherry, Ludhiana, Gorakhpur, Rohtak,Meerut, Rajkot, Bhatinda, Agartala, Bolangir,Coochbehar, Muzaffarpur, Dehradun and Nagpur.Alleligible candidates who wish to avail of Pre-ExaminationTraining should fill in the relevant column in the ON-LINE APPLICATION. Candidates who have been shortl isted in the mainexamination for the post of Officers Scale I and in thesingle level examination for the post of Officers Scale IIand III under CRP- RRB-VI will subsequently be calledfor an Interview to be co-ordinated by the Nodal RegionalRural Bank with the help of NABARD and IBPS inconsultation with the appropriate authority. Interviewswill be conducted at select centres. The centre, addressof the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed tothe shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidatesare required to download their interview call letters fromauthorised IBPS website www.ibps.in. Please note thatany request regarding change in date, centre etc. ofinterview will not be entertained. However theconducting agencies reserve the right to change thedate/ venue/ time/ centre etc. of interview or holdsupplementary process for particular date / session /venue / centre / set of candidates at its discretion, underunforeseen circumstances, if any.The total marksallotted for Interview are 100.
