Dr. Gary J. Becker Young Investigator Award The Dr. Gary J. Becker Young Investigator A ward promotes excellence in academic research for members early in their careers. The recipient of the SIR Foundation's 15th Annual Dr. Gary J. Be cker Young Investigator Award will receive an expense-paid trip to the 2005 SIR Annual Scientific Meeting and an honorarium. Thomas Jahnke, MD The 2005 reCipient, Thomas Jahnke, MD, is from the University Clinics Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Kiel in Germany. Hi s excellent research was on the limited peri-interventional immunosuppression with FK778 in- hibiting neointima formation in a rat model of restenosis. The sCientific abstract presentation for this study will be on Sunday, April 3, from 9:00-9:15 a.m. in Scientific Session 15 on lower extremity arterial disease. The award presentation will be held on Monday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the venous ablation plenary. xv

Thomas Jahnke, MD
