According to Chief of Police Pat Morel, one semi was pulling the chamber, while two other semis were behind it, pushing. Top speed for the trucks is about 35 miles per hour, and it took about 25 minutes to get to Norton from the 14-mile corner south of town. Chief Morel, Assistant Chief Jeremy Hartwell, and city employees Brian Hickman and JB Carlton helped keep traffic stopped until the chamber made it through town. — Telegram photo by Dana Paxton Councilman Jeff Otter set a personnel committee meeting for Jan. 29 at 4:30 p.m. Councilman Toby Kuhn set a public safety committee meeting with the police department for Jan. 26 at 6 p.m., and notified the council he will be out of state for the next council meeting. Mrs. Mann said she would also be out of state, and asked if there would be a quorum with both her and Mr. Kuhn absent.
