STUDENT COUNCIL - ANGEL TREE Student Council is sponsoring an Angel Tree for the holiday season that begins on Monday, November 28th and runs through Monday, December 12th. We help the families of Eisenhower that need our assistance. We have an Angel tree in the front by the office that will only have wishes for toys. We would like for each child to receive at least one toy. Please stop by to get an angel or have your child take one. After you have bought the toy, please return it to the office. You can either wrap it and attach the angel from the tree or send it in and Student Council will wrap the gift. In addition, we would like to purchase clothes for each child, which will be done a little differently. We are asking for a $3.00 to $5.00 donation from each child, which is not mandatory. If you can afford more of a donation, that’s wonderful. As a staff, we decided that we would collect money for the clothes so that no child will know what items of clothing were donated. This is the only way to ensure that the families that we help will remain anonymous. Please send the money in an envelope earmarked “Angel Tree.” Donations are due no later than Monday, December 12th. Student Council thanks you for all of your support in advance! Happy Holidays! Mrs. Dusseau and the Student Council Members

LOST & FOUND-FINAL DATE: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16TH Attention Parents! Please check to make sure that your children

have all their sweaters, jackets, sweatshirts, boots, gloves, etc., when they come home from school. Once again, we have accumulated a HUGE PILE of clothes in our “Lost and Found” boxes. We have set up a few tables in front of the library so

please come in or have your children check to see if any of these items belong to them as soon as possible. Any items that are not claimed by Winter Break (Friday, December 16th) will be donated to St. Jude House. Mrs. Lori Hall, Head Custodian

STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCHEON ‘Tis the season to be jolly!!! It is hard to believe that the

holidays are quickly approaching! Our Eisenhower Staff has been working like little elves keeping our kids smart, happy, and well cared for! In an effort to show our thanks, we will be hosting a “STAFF APPRECIATION

LUNCHEON” on Friday, December 9th, and we need your help to make this event a success!! Please consider helping out with one of the following:

Contribute $5.00 to Cover the Expenses of the Luncheon: If you can help with a monetary donation, please send the money in an envelope labeled “luncheon” with your name on it by Tuesday, December 6th, and have your child turn it into your teacher.

Help Supervise a Class: In order for the teachers to attend the luncheon, we need all the classrooms to be supervised. Most classes during this time are watching movies, going to recess, or eating lunch so there is not much needed to do! You can also eat lunch with your class if you are supervising them during their lunch time! If this sounds like something you would like to do, give Shari or Kathy a call in the office at (219) 663-8800. On the back of the page that went home with this information, is a list of the times and activities for each class! Act quickly as these slots fill up fast! Thank you in advance! Kevy Paviadakis and Carrie Mayden, Co-Chairs

NATIONAL ELEMENTARY HONOR SOCIETY “HAT DAY” National Elementary Honor Society “Hat Day” is coming to Eisenhower Elementary School on Friday, December 2nd. For $1.00 you can wear your favorite baseball cap, Mickey Mouse ears, Cowboy hat, Cubs hat, Fedora, etc. Proceeds will go toward purchasing gifts for our Angel Tree! Mrs. Jori Dusseau and the Members of National Elementary Honor Society

SCRIP ORDERS Start planning now! Use Scrip Cards for all of your holiday

supplies and gifts. There will be two more order forms going home before the end of this year. Scrip Order forms will be sent home on Wednesday, November 23rd. They will be due

back in the office by 9:30am on Monday, November 28th and will be ready for pick up on Friday, December 2nd. Also, please mark your calendars that an additional Scrip order form will go home on Monday, December 5th – will be due back in the office on Monday, December 12th and will be ready for pick up on Friday, December 16th. By getting your cards through our school, not only does this help Eisenhower but you earn money as well. Use these cards for gas, medication, pet supplies, groceries, Christmas gifts, etc. Also, please make certain that you let us know if you want your Scrip Cards held in the office for pickup. Otherwise, we will send them home with your students in their backpacks. Liz Patterson, Chairperson
