• eCornell courses are based in NY time, • opens at 10AM EST on the scheduled Wednesday, and close
2 weeks later on Tuesday 12AM EST.• The course is conducted in an asynchronous-manner.
• you DO NOT need to be online when the course actually opens. You can login anytime thereafter.
• No fixed time that you need to be online or on the course. • try to login during the first three days of the course,
logging in at a later period may have you overwhelmed with all the posts in the discussion board
eCornell Course Opening

• The course is two weeks long, you only have this period of time to complete all course modules.
• It is strongly recommended that you do it “little and often”. • pace yourself and stay engaged to the course throughout the 2
weeks - even if its just popping in and out of the discussion boards.
• Try not to be in a situation where you're finishing the course a deadline rush to the finish as you won't get maximum ROI out of the experience.
• Bottomline: we suggest an hour every other day:- More opportunity to interact with other students- To prevent yourself from being overwhelmed with too much work and postings.
Throughout the Duration of Your Course

• You have access to all content and material for another 6 weeks after the course is finished. • take this time to read in more detail the course material and the postings from
other students,• cut and paste information to keep.
• You cannot download any of the material. But you can purchase the course notes for $29.
After the Two-Week Period
Your coursenotes will look like this

Interaction is the hallmark of eCornell. • The discussion boards serve as the vehicle for interacting with
the instructor and other members of your course. • You'll be in there with up to 32 participants from diverse
companies & industries all around the world.• Do raise questions to your instructor. As for clarifications, give
your point of view, disagree, etc…• When you make postings, invite feedback and comments
• you can end your sentence by saying “what do the rest of you think?”, or “anyone has different experience?” etc, or just ask a question to the group. Ask thought provoking questions.
• Do comment on other students’ postings, challenge their views, and share your experiences.
Maximizing Your Experience

• Try to bring in some of the things you are working on into the course discussions • take some of the course tips, lessons, practices and try to
apply them on the job while in the course. • leverage on the instructor and group for their expertise,
experiences, best practices and pitfalls to avoid. • our model enables you to reflect, test and apply things in the
real-world while you're in the course
• If you don’t wish to post your question to the Professor in the DBs, you can always send him/her an email. You can also send email to your fellow students who have ‘shared’ the profile.
Maximizing Your Experience

• But the more you share with others, the more they will share with you.
