by niCoLe Guirre MAC Computers pull-out, students uninformedSTudenTS of San Beda College alabang – College of arts and Sciences (SBCa-CaS) remain uninformed of the pull-out of apple MaC Computers in the Computer Laborary 1 (CL1) late S.y. 2007 – 2008. The MaC Computers, which was in CaS since 1995, is now stocked in CL3. Before, it was seldom used by students even those who belong in the iT department. Mr. Vedasto Baluyot, information Technology (iT) department Chair, explained that the reason behind the pull-out is that the MaC Computers hardware configurations were already obsolete and cannot even run Windows Word and excel. however, the iT department already replaced it with new desktop computers after the pull-out. he said that the administration is planning to hand over the unused MaC Computers to the Grade School department.

When the The Bedan Herald (TBh) asked Mr. Baluyot why the students were uninformed about the abrupt change of computers, he answered, “Why do we have to inform the students? Besides, we upgraded the laboratory with new computers. The students actually rarely used these MaC computers.” he added that, “it was only used as display.” TBh explained that the students should be aware of what is happening around them especially when it comes to school facilities that they pay for. Mr. Baluyot plans to have a mobile classroom, in which, the students will have to use a laptop that can be borrowed at the iT department. By that said, students can access the Wi-fi or Wireless internet (WLan) anywhere in the building. There are several Wi-fi routers in different areas of the CaS building in which students could connect and have access on the internet for research purposes.

BedanS are KnoWn for having a high morale, with a great sense of style and an ability to look confident in whatever they are wearing… even junk. Last february 27, a Project runway-inspired competition entitled “Litter to Glitter” was hosted by selected Bachelors of Science in Business Management (BSBM) students led by the Bedan entrepreneurs’ Society (BeS), turning SBCa-CaS’ MPh into a fashion arena. after days of utilizing recycled materials to create garments for men and women, the contestants’ masterpieces were finally presented during the event. according to Ms. Caryl Charlene e. Jimenez (BSBM department head), the thematic fashion show was meant to promote entrepreneurship through “pera sa basura.” according to Marichelle Pagaddu (iV-BSBM-e and BeS President, ay 2008-2009), the objectives of “Litter to Glitter” were to know how to organize an event using leadership skills and to come up with new products by combining fashion and innovation. “it was indeed successful for me because we were able to achieve the objectives,” she said. “oK ‘yung sales, we hit the target number of audience.” Likewise, Ms. Jimenez also considers the event a success. “…it was well received and attended by the students and guests even if there was an entrance fee of Php 30.00. also, regardless of the course, unified teamwork among the CaS students promotes success to any event.” “The event was very inspiring. it was new and fresh for us students. There were some lack of preparation, but still it made through to its success,” said Lyndon Villanueva (iV-BaCMS, 2008-2009) who was present during the show. The event which began two hours late was hosted by Miguel Lotuaco (iV-BSBM-e, ay 2008-2009) and rita Marie reyes (iV-BSBM-Mfi, ay 2008-2009). Many students and faculty members went to see the show especially with the participation of a CaS professor as one of the models, Ms. Maida aguirre. each of the contestants introduced their own works, revealing the recycled materials used. after which the outfits were shown-off by the models by strutting down the y-shaped runway that extends across the MPh. afterwards, the judges criticized their works in front of the audience.

Though their intricate and grandiose works were highly praised by the judges, they were not able to win a place in the competition. “it was really impressive, though in my opinion they did not follow the contest's rule which is to transform recycled or used materials into a clothing, not new materials. But how they did it…pretty impressive,” said Trisha aguilar a BaCMS who was part of the audience. Models from The Purple orchid Ltd., a talent management agency, also worked the runway at the opening and closing of the fashion show. other sponsors were Jeremy Marquez, Marlon aaron Pizarro, Miguel Santos, Coca Cola, Jollibee, and red ribbon. nacholitos, Tender Juicy, and Snow Cone were also present as concessionaires at the event.

what disease they feared most during their days and one answer you would probably get is

cholera. yes indeed, cholera. What with the advances the world has achieved in medical science, this generation has come to live comfortably in a world laughing in the face of dear old cholera that it will not be the cause for the end of human existence. But despite the medical advances the scientists have achieved, the world seems to be faced with innumerable threats from diseases that dare to wipe out the human population as if tempting armageddon. in less than a decade, the world has seen a series of pandemics that sent millions of people into paranoia scrambling for facial masks and hand sanitizers in an attempt to shield themselves from getting sick. first there was SarS, next came the avian flu, and now, Swine flu or h1n1. Today we are faced with yet again another pandemic threat known as a-h1n1 or Swine flu. People just have to ask, is the world coming to an end? Why are all these diseases-turned-pandemic appearing in such a quick intervals? Great pandemics are said to occur every hundred years or so. if that is true, then what we are witnessing is phenomenal because we are experiencing pandemics in every three years or so. one might even hear older people say, “in our days, there weren’t such things as these pandemics.” (a pandemic is a disease that affects populations all over the world, and is not restricted to a certain locality or continent as opposed to “epidemic”). The answer as to why these things are happening is not because of impending apocalypse, no, but rather something more practical than that: globalization. The reason why there were no pandemics in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s is that the world simply did not permit. The Cold War barred people from traveling anywhere in the world as they wished. Political considerations dominated over geographical ones.

Trade was very limited and so countries produced only what they could consume, international travel was exclusive to those high profile people. But with the end of the Cold War at the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, globalization started and began felling other walls in the globe, be it economic walls, cultural walls, or political walls. along with globalization is the ability of people to travel anywhere as they wished, and with this came the easier and faster transmission of diseases from person to person, people to people, country to country, continent to continent, and hence we have pandemics. But that is just one side of the coin of globalization. What everyone should acquire is a proper lens for a proper perspective on things. With globalization, every civil war is projected as another major war through the ever freer media. every natural catastrophe in a small part of the world makes the news as another great catastrophe for the world. every outbreak is another pandemic out to maim humanity. These things make very regular rounds in the span of human existence for thousands of years, and one good advice is not to fall victim to globalization’s sensationalisms. overall, with globalization, the mass production and sharing of

technology and information has sped up. hence, while we are more exposed to threats such as pandemics, we are also more prepared to face it than ever before. in less than two weeks after the spread of a-h1n1, the Philippines has already 500,000 Tamiflu pills which is imported from Japan and is said to prevent symptoms of the virus. The

level of preparedness and speed of reaction is unprecedented, that is why people should not fear the end of the world. however, no one should take the flu lightly. With proper information, sanitation, and adherence to oratio imperata, the world can weather this piggy sickness.

BuhoK, hoKBu, hair. it started with hair – straight black hair to be

specific. Like most South east asian countries, the dominant type of hair in the Philippines is straight and black. a different variety – curly, wavy, and some other color (with the exemption of dyed hair) are considered striking and interesting. a westerner would be flabbergasted with the sight of rush hour metro: hundreds of bobbing heads with the tuff of the black thing rushing to get to work. Black and straight: with this variety being common in this nation of 7,100 islands, its citizens opt to be quite different from their contemporaries by sporting different hairstyles. Some men prefer their hairs to look unkempt, others prefer their hairs to look like that of a woman’s, and others opt to have their follicles buzzed or cropped. at first it was about hair. Joining the bandwagon was the easiest thing to do. everyone wants to be fashionable and in style when it comes to their do’s. everyone had undercuts during the mid ‘90s. during the onset of the millennium, everyone had gel on their hairs. and at the former part of this decade, almost everyone had f4 hairstyles. Though this behavior of going with the flow seems to promote a misconstrued sense of individuality, and character, it is normal behavior. a person must feel accepted among his contemporaries in order to feel fulfilled as an individual. in the middle of it all, i decided to be different – i shaved my hair. at first it was dos, and then it became uno, and – to the horrors of my mother (she had to be convinced that her son is not turning into another Baby ama) – it became a zero. depending on my liking, i had my hair buzzed to the three lengths of shaved hair. after a considerable amount of time, i wanted something new. When the

There’s something about follicles

school organ accepted me as their writer, i already had a goatee. When my superior editors promoted me to Sports editor, i had my hair cropped into a Mohawk. The time eventually came for me to have an opinion column of my own. My editors told me that i have to come up with an opinion name. The task was tedious. The column name had to be striking, it must be remembered, but at the same time, i wanted it to be identified as my own, as Migo. i disregarded a column name that came from clichés – it would be too common. neither did i want to give it a moronic sound just to get attention. it had to be different. Then, i thought about hair and figured out what my column name would be. everyone have hair. The people in this nation have hair. The best part of it all is that we have similar hair types. We may wear our dos differently to have a style of our own. But because of the demands of corporate culture and popular society, we set our creativity and individuality – with regards to hairstyles - to the limit these two demand. in the end, wanting to be genuinely unique is negated. and like the do’s that some persons think as inappropriate in the corporate world, and in institutions (never mind state universities), these persons – at times – try to prune and filter our thoughts and personalities to what is deemed appropriate. What best suits the image of the institution is channeled through dismemberment of awareness and individuality. That’s why Migoisms became my column name. The –ism is a representation of individuality where it is suppressed. it represents the philosophies and beliefs of the actors (and the reactors) within a vindictive society. Migoisms represents me and everyone. Migoisms started its conceptualization with the pursuit of having a different hairstyle. But then again, it’s not just about hair anymore.

Reality Check

Think about it

Mismo

Sitting in a foodcourt

eVeryone haS an opinion. We all have something to say about

whatever it is that is presented to us. We have our opinion about the movie we just saw, the song we just heard, the clothes the girl in front of us is wearing, the perfume the guy beside us is donning or the menu in the cafeteria. We would always have something to say about what our classmate said or did, about the sound our alarm clocks make or about the school’s bell. We will always find something to say, may it be good or bad, about our school, our classmates, our professors, the president of the Philippines, the country. We always

eVen SiTTinG doWn can spark a revolution.

i was sitting, thinking of a topic for this article, in a food court in SM Bicutan – my favorite nearest and smallest hangout place - with my grandfather. as i watch people being still for an hour or so, i notice tons of things they do. one person was frustratingly texting - probably waiting for someone she has waited for so long; another was a woman anxiously computing something while scratching her forehead, then the usual, a family eating their lunch-merienda. i also saw many people who were just spectators - wondering, drooling, counting the birds flying, biting their nails, sleeping secretly, in other words, they seem to be doing nothing. They just kill time - just normal for many people. Then i suddenly remembered rosa Parks. for those of you who do not know her: ` it was december 1, 1955 in

“and They LiVed happily ever after….”

i heard those ending fairytale lines when i was watching the movie “enchanted” on Star Movies about a month ago, and then i stopped to recall my childhood. When i was in grade school, i would always end up in the library of our school every break time and take a visit to the children’s section. i would try to take a glance at aLL the pages of Cinderella, Snow White and Little Mermaid. even though i’ve read them a gazillion times before, i never get tired of reading them over and over again. yes, the stories are different yet they all have similar ending phrases - and now i’ve been thinking - how it would be if life is like fairytale endings? When i was young, fairytale books

eVery PLaCe and every space creates a memory. Looking back to what has

been done and what has been let go of, one cannot help but think of a certain experience. an experience that creates a memory composed of people, events, emotions and unsure possibilities. Places = where you’ve been, where you are and where you are going to. one day you know, one day you don’t. There are too many places to go to – in some places you want to be, in some places you don’t want to and even tell yourself “Why am i even here?” a certain place could mean a certain person, a certain feeling, a certain song or a certain memory - those that we keep and those that we mend with security.

Before i eVen begin running my mouth about aKoMiSMo let me just

introduce to you freshies my column. Brace yourself ‘cause you’re in for a ride - just kidding. Third wheel is a third opinion on things that i happen to see, read, or hear in the metro or somewhere else. There is a cliché that goes, there are two sides to a story, well, i’m the third side. So with that out of the way here is my take on the whole aKoMiSMo campaign. one side of the coin, which will be the critics, says that this is nothing but an ad campaign for PLdT Ceo Manny V. Pangilinan. This may be true with the presidential elections slowly creeping closer it is not impossible that MVP may be looking to be the Ceo of the country. But what is wrong with that? is it the fact that he used a social cause to promote himself? Who doesn’t? i mean Mar roxas became Mr. Palengke, Manny Villar has his savior of the ofW thing, why can’t a business man come up with his own social advocacy ad to promote his platform? another question, what is so wrong with him running for presidency? he is after all rich so i don’t see any reason for him to amass wealth through corruption. To all you haters don’t be insecure. here’s the second side, which will be the supporters of this cause, see this advocacy for what it really is. it’s not an ad campaign but simply a campaign promoting positive change in our country through individual effort that collectively will move the country forward. isn’t that beautiful? These politicians who see this advocacy for what it is are the smart ones, they don’t worry themselves with none issues. aKoMiSMo is such a positive campaign to stain with politics and corrupt it with negative views. There is also the question of San Beda Mendiola’s rector presence in the video. again, let us not stain the campaigns purity with politics. Whether MVP is or is not running for 2010, fr. Matt’s involvement could only mean one thing, he is supporting the cause and not endorsing MVP. if in case he is doing the latter, so what, MVP is a Bedan we must support him as much as we can. as for the whole Church and State separation thing, as long as fr. Matt does not get his hands in the cookie jar of politics i don’t see him as a sinner. here’s my say, the whole advocacy is so positive that it has over 98,000 pledges (including me) and for people to say that it is a political strategy is down right stupid. it’s people like you who dampen the filipino spirit. When election time comes and MVP does run, it still doesn’t mean that aKoMiSMo is his ad campaign. he did not even appear in the video. if he does take a crack at the presidency i think he’ll be great at it, compared to the one we have right now. he is a successful business man who runs his own multimillion companynand if he can do that to a private company what’s to stop him from improving our country’s economic status. after all he has proven himself as a great economist. ‘nuff said.

While some, we choose to hide in the hole of forget. Think of places as traveling, or leisure or relaxation or a get-away. you could plan it or it could just happen all of a sudden. Spaces = small spaces, big spaces, spaces we share and spaces we keep to ourselves. in the language of hello and good bye, certain spaces occupy ourselves and the people we interact with. if we like a person, we save space for him or her. if we don’t like a person, we try to keep that space void or find an element to keep that space occupied. But it we like to be alone, we choose a space that we can call our own, the space that shares our privacy in times of trouble or finding.

have something to say. unfortunately, there are times when we take our own opinions for granted. either we would just speak out what’s on our minds, even if we don’t fully understand the topic being discussed, or we would just sit there, keep our ideas to ourselves and be quiet. i see the latter as the more unfortunate of the two situations, to just remain still and quiet while the people around you are throwing their ideas, their opinions, around. it is sad to think that one of the reasons why people choose this is because they are afraid of what the people around them might say or do about what

they have shared. Some people are afraid that they might be penalized by the “Big Boss” if what they say doesn’t exactly coincide with what the “Big Boss” wants to hear. it is unfortunate to think that some people feel that they cannot say what they want to say because, even if they have a perfectly reasonable argument, the “Big Boss” would still penalize him or her because it would make that person look bad or it would ruin the whole image that he or she is going for or something within that line. Well, it’s either that or the person just doesn’t want to exert any effort into

fascinate me. especially the part where there would always be a prince and a princess. The princess would always get their prince and they would end up having a happy life together. and so, like any other kid, i wished to grow up faster because i got influenced of what i was reading. i was so excited not because i wanted to get married soon but was hoping that my life would be like a ‘princess’ too. Getting all the pleasures that life could offer and living it to the fullest. But our world isn’t as magical like theirs, ours would constantly have its “villains”. of course, in all stories there would be a villain. Like the evil stepsisters of Cinderella, the ugly Witch in Snow White and ursula in Little Mermaid. These villains are the obstacles of life. They come

unexpectedly and would surprise you at all times. We have our different villains in life yet we must defend ourselves keep us strong and moving. Life is tough. Based on what i have been hearing and encountering from people and from my own, i could now say that i believe in this cliché. Like what i have said, we are living in a world of ups and downs. you would never know when you will face the obstacles of life. nothing seems so easy nowadays. We strive to live and try to battle with it. We stumble and we fall. But just let them be a guiding way to grasp your success. remember every fairytale that you have read – ‘cause there would always be a happy ending.

Montgomery, alabama. rosa Louie McCauley Parks, an african-american citizen, was sitting in a bus when a white passenger suddenly comes in. James Blake, the bus driver, order Parks to give up her seat and make room for a white passenger – that is how they live with the racial segregation in the time of vast racism in america. She insisted for her seat and refused to stand and give it up. She was then arrested because of not following the driver’s orders. Though her action was not the first of its kind, Park’s act of defiance sparked the Civil rights Movement and the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Parks’ refusal of giving up her seat made a great impact on american history. Great, isn’t it? What she did is simple yet astonishing and historical. it is her way of saying “TaMa na! SoBra na! PaLiTan na!” to the white americans. That line which is famous from the People

Power revolution. Why here, hundreds of thousands of people is needed just to wake everyone out. We can also do what Parks did - just have courage amid this cowardice age. do not be afraid of this society currently infected with swine flu, unfairness and rotten food of corruption. The world is an enormous food court that is moving through time like a bus - all of us are sitting. The world is waiting for us to not literally stand up, but to do something that could make us stand up from the others and be different in a good way. Stop killing time, let time pass by ahead of you doing something to wake everyone out. There’s no going back. now, dear reader, sit and do something that can spark a revolution – something that can be of a Clarion Call for someone, for something or for our corrupted society. Start here in San Beda College alabang.

Places and Spaces. i go to places to find myself, to find other people, to have fun and talk or to just simply unwind. you do that too, sometimes. We may not share the same place in mind but at one point, we definitely keep a certain thought that make us go to whatever place we would want to consider special. Though sometimes certain places disappoint us, we still look back at it and remember the stupid things we’ve done and the right things that we should have done. i save spaces for people i love, like saving a seat for a friend or relative who is about to arrive. or by getting straw for that person who is in the fast food counter,

I. Maliit man ang ating paaralan, marami ka namang maaaring gawin.

The set dates will be on May 27, 28 and 29 2009. sitwasyon, maari kang humingi ng tulong sa ating Vice dean na matatagpuan sa office of Student affairs (oSa).

information Technology, lastly Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Bachelor of Science in Business administration respectively. Last enrollment was quite hectic for the majority of the CaS students because the clearance, getting of grades, advising of schedules, and enrollment itself took place in just one day. also, the computer system that was implemented that semester was unsuccessful because the system shutdown. The adding and dropping of subjects was scheduled on the first day of classes – which made the schedules of the students more hectic. according to Vice dean Jose

Vasquez it would be much better if the college’s small departments will be the first to give them priority, to make it more systematic, to be a little bit faster and to be more organize. The adding and dropping of subjects will be on June 4-5, 2009 and the opening of classes for this school year will be on the 8th of June 2009. Bedans will adhere to the computer enrollment system which was implemented last year. “To see improvement one needs to experiment to see the best flow of enrollment” is what Vice dean Jose Vasquez suggests for a better enrollment process system compared to last year.

We uSe iT when we do our projects, our essays, our book reports, our dreaded thesis and i’ve already used it while writing this. a slip of a finger and we immediately run to this button, my dear friends, it’s one of the best things ever created for writers such as myself - the all-powerful backspace/delete button. Some of you might remember the days most documents we’re written with a use of a typewriter and every time one would make a mistake, they had to use the correction fluid, or more commonly known as liquid paper. yes, it was a real pain back then, spilling the whole bottle of liquid paper all over documents and just making plain bloody mess. But now, thanks to technology, we have the mighty computer and its miraculous backspace. The backspace button just made me realize something, what if we had a backspace button for our lives? What if we can change the mistakes we did in the past? What if you could change those embarrassing moments in your life? What if, what if, what if…

Come on, admit it, you’ve made a mistake in your life that you wish you didn’t. Kind of makes you wonder doesn’t it, having the power to correct your mistakes over and over again. imagine if your parents could correct their business mistakes, they could just simply press the backspace button and make a wiser decision in their work. Then you wouldn’t be feeling blue when they give you an allowance of P3000 a day or something like that. imagine if politicians had the backspace button, they could have changed the very face of history. Maybe they could have avoided World War i and ii, they could have stopped the assassination of President John f. Kennedy, they could have

stopped the 9/11 attacks, the war on iraq wouldn’t have happened, the Philippines would have not been colonized by other countries, the Philippines could have elected a better president or we could have been living on top of the world. imagine that: a perfect utopia could finally exist if such power was given unto us. Peace and prosperity abundant at every corner. That would be amazing. True, we could be living in a better world if we had a backspace button in our lives, but if what makes us human was taken away from us, could we still truly live in harmony? We make mistakes for a reason;

everything we have done has a reason. if we weren’t colonized by the Spaniards, would we still be Christians? if John f. Kennedy wasn’t assassinated the Vietnam War could have been stopped, but instead he was and the next President, President Lyndon Johnson continued on with the war. you are probably saying, ”But what about 9/11? What about WWi and ii? What about a better president?” To be quite frank, i’m not sure either, but one thing is certain, everything has a reason. it may be a reason that we’ll never know or understand; a reason that’s hiding under our noses, a reason that could see the light of day when we no longer walk in this earth, or maybe a reason that’s just meant to be unknown. We walk on this earth with limitless uncertainties and limitless mistakes. it’s been that way since we were born and it’s going to be that way until the day we die. Life was meant to be imperfect; if it wasn’t then we wouldn’t be living. What’s the point of living if you can’t feel alive. Life just can’t be a perfect piece of document. That’s just how it is.

forming a “decent” opinion. What do i mean by this, for example, when you ask a person about his or her opinion about poverty in the Philippines then he or she just answers, “ewan” or “Malay”. don’t get me wrong, it’s not that that person has no opinion, concern or idea about the matter, it’s just that he or she doesn’t want to exert extra effort in saying or expressing what could have been a five page long piece about his or her concerns

and suggestions regarding the matter, for reasons that only that person can say. Maybe one of the possible reasons for this is because, as mentioned above, he or she is afraid of being stoned to death for his or her thoughts, for what he sees right or proper is not what society is used to. Maybe it’s because that person no longer sees the point in saying what’s in his or her mind because the feeling that nothing good will

come out of it is already there. Growing up, i’ve been taught that a person’s opinion is important, no matter how “bizarre” it is. i’ve been taught to listen

and respect other people’s opinion, may they be older or younger than me, about certain things because they might or

can see a certain angle or aspect of a given issue that, either, i can’t or don’t see. i am very lucky to have been

given the chance to express my opinion, my thoughts on a space in the college newspaper. This is a simple invitation to think about issues or matters that one might often overlook or take for granted. an invitation to stop for a while and to see and figure out what truly lies behind that “ewan” and “Malay ko” we say ever so often when asked about anything. it’s my way of inviting everyone to pause for a while to just think about it (whatever it is).

San Beda CoLLeGe alabang’s basketball varsity team, the San Beda red Lions won last season’s Muntinlupa intercollegiate athletic association (MiCaa) championship, March 10, at the Muntinlupa Sports Center. The red Lions had to win a series of games to reach the championship and face their opponent, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) Marshalls. The championship was tough as both teams’ tried to outscore each other in a very tight match up. With a score of 59 to 56, the San Beda red Lions won the title fight for the league’s 5th season. John Tuliao (BSiT) and Steve Mercado (BSe) secured a slot in the Mythical five in the said league along with three other varsity players from the other competing schools. Lance ingco (BSe) got the honor of being the season’s MVP (Most

Both fighters fought in mixed martial arts (MMa) with astudillo fighting in the 135 lbs division and dula in the 130 lbs division.

Valuable Player). “i feel that it's a good win for our team. it helped us build our confidence back. But on the other hand i think that the MnCaa and nCaa South crowns are more important which are the ones that, unfortunately, we were unable to take back home for SBCa” said Tuliao when asked about his team’s win in the MiCaa. “But of course, i feel happy about it.” When asked about the red Lion’s improvement last year “i can say that a lot of players have improved. our former Team B has stepped up their game. But significantly, we're still lacking in height. hopefully by the end of the summer we'll be able to have additional firepower "height-wise" for the upcoming season” added Tuliao. The red Lions is headed by Team Captain Myki Victorino (BSe).

stockier than him – he still showcased grit and discipline inside the ring. astudillo got fazed when short punches connected to his jaw during a clinch in the early minutes of the fight. To combat the power his opponent displayed, astudillo wrestled his way to victory (his opponent’s style is that of a striker). during another clinch, astudillo pushed back against his opponent and threw a jab straight to distract his opponent. When his opponent tried to counter his punches, astudillo went for the double leg takedown. The two fighters ended on the ground, with astudillo on the full mount. his opponent tried to scramble his way out of the position which gave astudillo the opportunity to get his opponent’s back and take the submission. astudillo’s win makes his MMa record 3-1.

never mind the injuries, just win dula showed the heart of a lion

in his mma fight. his fight was against a stockier and bigger franco rulloda of the rulloda fighting System. Though the fight went on to last the full three rounds, dula dominated his opponent both on the stand up and ground game. Contrary to what the spectators expected, dula dominated his opponent on the ground. every time they went to the canvas, dula was on top, pummeling and punishing his opponent. When the two fighters got back on their feet, dula out wrestled and out punched the bigger fighter. dula seemed to injure himself on his left shoulder during a takedown attempt in the first round. after every round, he would signal his corner that his shoulder hurts. But nevertheless, he still showcased that he has the heart to overcome his injury – as proof of his win. dula is now undefeated in mma with two wins under his belt.
