Assembly: I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary, ever-virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Celebrant: May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
Assembly: Amen.

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
(All bow during these two lines.)
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Response: Lord, hear our prayer.
pr a y e r to ou r la dy, he a lt h o f t h e si c k
O Mary, you always shine on our pathas a sign of salvation and of hope.We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need, and we are sure you will provideso that, as in Cana of Galilee,we may return to joy and to feastingafter this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,to conform to the will of the Fatherand to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferingsand carried our sorrowsto lead us, through the cross,to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Text: Sir John Beaumont (1583-1627)Tune: ASSUMPTION NEW 75 75 with refrain; © 2001 Peter LatonaWho is she ascends so high, Next the heavenly King,
‘Round about whom angels fly And her praises sing?
Who is she adorned with light, Makes the sun her robe,At whose feet the queen of night Lays her changing globe?
This is she in whose pure womb Heaven’s Prince remained; Therefore in no earthly tomb Can she be contained.
Heaven she was, which held that fire, Whence the world took light,And to heaven doth now aspire, Flames with flames to unite.
She that did so clearly shine When our day begun,See how bright her beams decline: Sitting with the Sun.

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.I embrace You as if You were already thereand unite myself wholly to You.Never permit me to be separated from You.Amen.
