Below are the current materials and processes we use in earthwise™ productsand the minimum percentages required to receive an earthwise™ label.

Organic Cotton Grown without the use of toxic chemicals or genetically modified seeds 100%

Recycled Polyester(REPREVE®)

Made from post-consumer plastic bottles via a process that’s light on water usageand greenhouse gas emissions 50%

Sustainable Viscose(TENCEL™ Lyocell) Fiber made from wood pulp that’s harvested from sustainably managed forests 50%

Regenerated Nylon(ECONYL®) Regenerated nylon created from fishing nets, fabric scraps, old carpets and industrial nylon waste 50%

Eco Fibers:Hemp, Linen, Jute

Hemp, linen and jute are prefered eco-fibers because they do not require chemicalsand use less water than traditional fibers for growth 50%

Plant Dye Process A chemical-free dye process using pigments derived from natural botanicals 100%

OrthoLite™ Insoles Lightweight, breathable insoles made with more earth-friendly materials, like recycled rubber 26%eco content

Recycled Strobel Board A shoe component attaching the insole and outsole, which is made from 70-80% recycled polyester 70%

Green EVA Outsole A carbon negative outsole derived from sugarcane

Mineral Glass Lenses Made from natural silica and soda ash 50%
