Bexhill Hastings Link Road

• Construction started early 2013

• Completed Spring 2015• Unlocks up to 2,000

new homes and 50,000sqm of employment space

• Creates 3,000 jobs

Local Sustainable Transport Fund

• Awarded £3.8m; mix of capital and revenue• Funding for Lewes, Newhaven & Eastbourne• Five elements:

– Marketing & promotions– Real time passenger information– Walking and cycling infrastructure– Bike It programme– Wheels to Work and Education

• Ongoing work with Borough/Districts on identifying infrastructure & updating on progress, costs etc

– Allocated £66m for 2015/16 to 18/19– Prioritised funding for A21 Baldslow link (£15m)

& A22/A27 junction improvement package (£4m)
