HEALTHY REDUCTIONMost people resolve to eliminate excess weight by simplymodifying their diet with less fat, more protein, exercise, and stress reduction techniques. That said, they are notaddressing the role played by chemicals in the body’sability to release excess fat and inches—the reason mostdiets fail, despite adherence.
According to Pamela Baillie-Hamilton, M.D., an expert inhuman metabolism, “Toxic chemicals damage virtuallyevery aspect of the way our body handles, absorbs, andcreates proteins, as well as to increase the rate at whichthey are lost from the body. Although we believe we areeating enough proteins, chemical damage means that ourbodies fail to extract and use the proteins they need toallow our Slimming System™ to work properly.”
Proteins are used in our natural slimming processes to:• Form structure of the most important slimminghormones
• Speed up metabolism (protein can lift metabolic rate to30% above normal for 3-12 hours)
• Facilitate energy production• Build muscles so we burn body fat during exercise

Toxic chemicals preventweight loss, cause pain andsabotage immune defenses
Metabolic DamageOur metabolism requires vast amounts of energy for everyday balancedfunctioning—even more for effective detoxification and reduction of overallbody burden. This process equates to a slower metabolism as the body usesits energy reserves in its attempt to rid itself of chemicals—the rate in whichit burns carbohydrates directly converts to weight gain and stored toxins.
The most profound effect of chemical toxicity is lowering our ability togenerate body heat and reduce hormone levels that are essential for therelease of stored body fat. In a fibromyalgia patient, chemicals, as well astoxins created internally, get stored within the soft and connective tissueswhen effective detoxification of the large intestine and the lymphaticsystem is not achieved. Additionally, underlying inflammation inhibits therelease of toxins.

External ChemicalsThere are also many chemicals in non-food products. We absorb them fromthe environment by breathing them or through skin absorption, including, but not limited to:

The Experts Sound OffDr. Baille-Hamilton found a study that linked the most commonly used pesticides in food and growth promoters to fatten animals—this validated her suspicion that there is a very direct connection to the inability to eliminate excess weight that is now in epidemicproportions.
Other common substances used to fatten-up animals are antibiotics. When we hear of using antibiotics, we assume they’re used tokill bacteria that would cause illnesses that would lower weight. Baille-Hamilton found the exact opposite reaction. When low dosesof antibiotics are given to animals, they actually promote weight gain by damaging the natural weight control hormones.
The most fattening group of synthetics is the organochlorines. This group of chemicals has the ability to cause continual damage toour weight control systems. This category of chemicals is mostly found in DDT, lindane, and PCBs. Although most of these are nowbanned, they have accumulated within our body tissues and can remain there for decades.
Diet Food—Fatteningand Inflammation-inducingUnfortunately, diet food contains artificial sugars, flavor enhancers, and other health-depleting chemicals. The more you add to your chemical calorie body burden, theslower your metabolism becomes and the less able the body is to convert food intouseful energy so it ends up being stored as fat. The fattening ability of chemicals ismeasured by the degree of damage they cause to our body’s natural slimmingsystem. The goal should be to reduce the body’s chemical burden so you can feelenergized, rejuvenated, slimmer, and healthier, naturally.

The Most Contaminated Foods (unless from organic sources)
Ingredients to AvoidAny food labeled with the following descriptions will most likely not only make yougain weight, it will also add to your toxic load of chemical calories:
Note: Most foods labels as such contain artificialsweeteners, high amounts of sugar or chemical additivesthat actually add to weight gain by increasing yourappetite and designed to addict you to that food.
Toxins are mostly storedwithin the large intestine(colon), liver, and fat cells. The body knows those toxinsshould be diluted. Therefore, the body retains water andincreases its fat stores in aninherent attempt to dilute the
poisons.
Our brain, glands and bodyfat are the most important forthe body’s natural slimmingsystem. All of them are veryhigh in fat content andcontain an ample blood
supply.
Most toxic chemicals areEXTREMELY fat-soluble—
when released into the bloodthey aim for the fattier parts ofthe body. The high fat contentin the brain and glands makesthe natural slimming system
an easy target.

Defining the Body’s Natural Slimming SystemThis system is made up of the control center, or brain, “slimming hormones,” body structure, and a good dose of other nutrients. The slimmingsystem is highly interdependent, with changes in one affecting all the others. In a nutshell, willpower is NOT enough to eliminate excess weight.Weight-loss failure is often due to the body’s inability to deal with the toxic substances in your food and the environment.
NATURAL-SLIMMING PROTOCOLS
1. Reduce the body’s overall toxic loadaccumulation by seekingprofessional guidance fordetoxification, especially the colon.
2. Consume a good quantity of raworganic foods (vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, etc.).
3. Reduce your exposure to allchemicals whether ingested, fromenvironmental sources or thoseabsorbed through the skin. Useorganic or chemical-free cosmetics, skin and hair-care products. Usehousehold cleansers that arechemical-free. Better yet, use amicrofiber cloth and a spray with ½distilled white vinegar and ½ water.Use chemical-free toilet bowlproducts.
4. Slowly reduce the amount of foodscontaining chemical-calories. If yousuddenly eliminate the toxic load, thetoxins stored in fat are mobilized tooquickly into the organs ofdetoxification and you will experiencewhat is called in wholistic health a“healing crisis.” Eat meat andproduce that is organic.
5. Exercise daily at least 20 minutes.
6. When possible, wear natural fiberclothing and avoid those withchemicals like flame-retardants,stain-repellents, and toxic drycleaning.
7. Use a portable air cleaner in your car(not an ionizer), that plugs eitherdirect or into the cigarette lighter.
8. Use HEPA air filters in your home andoffice.
9. Use live plants that absorb toxinssuch as spider plants that reduceairborne formaldehyde.
10.Use a water-filter, preferable one withmultiple filtering systems i.e. reverseosmosis, charcoal and ultra-violetlight.
11.Ventilate your home and office sothat fresh air is always recirculating.
12.Use natural bug repellants.
13.Use disposable gloves when fuelingyour car.
14.Look for toys made of naturalmaterials.
15.Don’t store food in plasticcontainers—fat acts as a magnet forchemical calories.
16.Do not use cling-free type wraps orplastic containers when heatingfood—preferably don’t use amicrowave.
17.Do not drink hot beverages frompolystyrene cups.
18.Avoid “non-stick” frying pans.
19.Speed up the “out-gassing” of a newrefrigerator or stove by placing asmall container(s) of vegetable oilinside to absorb the toxins.
20.Avoid chemical hair dyes—natural,non-toxic, permanent hair color isavailable that completely coversgrey….ask Dr. Gilbère!
Metabolic Modifiersare a complex set of substances
that are generally found in thefollowing categories:
Toxic heavy metals and other
toxic metals—polluted fish, water, some vaccines, and dental
restorations
Artificial or syntheticchemicals—halogens,
organophosphates (pesticides),carbamates, solvents, plastics, plasticizers, and insecticides
Growth hormones, antibiotics and
steroids in meat,dairy products, poultry,
farm-raised fish
Food additives, preservatives,
and coloring agents
Environmental pollution
Chemicals leaching into food
from packaging materials
Artificial sweeteners
The categories above contain themost concentrated amount of
chemical calories that build withinthe body and eventually becomestored in the soft and connectivetissue, par ticularly when effective
detoxification protocols are notpracticed.
