HOW TO CHOOSE CONTENT FOR Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program)

1. If you are completing your registration and first time with CITI, the “Add a Course” screen will be part of the registration

2. If you already have an account , you will need to choose “Add a Course” from the My Learner Tools… menu.

3. Question 1 - Human Subjects Research - Choose the type of Human Subjects Research for your status. Faculty may choose based on type of research. Students choose – “Student Researchers”. This module is required for completing research at EU.

4. Question 2 - Only IRB chairs need to take the IRB chair course.

5. Question 3 – Heath Information Privacy and Security (HIPS) – available as an elective unless required by program/advisor.

6. Question 4 – Deals with Research using Laboratory Animals - available as an elective unless required by program/advisor.

7. Question 5 – Responsible Conduct of Research - both faculty and students are strongly encouraged to complete this module based on the type of research.

8. Question 6 – Conflicts of Interest – this module is not required but encouraged.
