EDITING LOGS

Day 1 of editing – Once we had filmed all the footage for our music video i had to upload all the clips onto final cut pro . I used a usb cable which was connected to the camera and log and transfered all the clips on to the computer .Once uploaded I arranged all the clips into order and deleted the clips that did not come out well. I made different files so that it would be easier for me to find different clips which were filmed in different locations.

Day 2 of editing - I started deleting unwanted footage which did not look great. I started to put my music video together by putting the clips into the order I wanted it to be. I had to sync the song in line with my star singing the song so that it looks professional otherwise it would look tacky due to the song being ahead of my star singing . During editing I had to trim some clips as they were far too long, to do this I had to click on the clip mark in and out on where i wanted it then press command u which enabled me to create a sub clip. This is very effective as it creates a better clip.

Day 3 of editing -I never used effects for my music video because i didn’t feel that it needed effects as the effects didn’t go well with my music video. I had to rearrange some clips as it did not go well with the narrative so i had to fix the errors so my audience get a better understanding of my music video. I also used some fades in my music video because it gives the video some flare.
