You have been a victim of bullying which is not a tolerated behavior and is considered unacceptable!

But what can I do?

O First understand and know that it is not your fault!

O Talk to an adult (teacher, parent, school staff)

O Do not get physical with the bully (no hitting, etc.)

O Do not ignore the behavior, it may get worse

Why do kids bully?O Social acceptance O Lack of discipline at home with

parentsO Harsh, physical disciplineO Low self-esteemO Modeling behavior from video games

Well…Let’s Do Something About It!

O Help students understand what bullying isO Always keep the communication openO Model how to treat kids with kindness and

respect

Schools can…O Assess bullying and discuss with studentsO Educate youth and parents O Create policies and rules against bullying

Just Be Yourself!O Be true to yourself and do not let anyone

make you feel ashamed of who you are.O Being in good company helps you to be a

good person and want to always do the right thing.
