His Ph.D. thesis is focused on the control and energy areas and it is about the application of control algorithms from the artificial intelligence field, such as artificial neural networks, in the management of the power flows of an electrical grid to enhance its performace through the smoothness of the aggregated consumption. During his Ph.D. he made an internship of 4 months in the Centre of Theoretical Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada in the Neurorrobotics lab under the supervision of Bryan Tripp, where he applied his knowledge in robotics and control in neuroscience. He has authored and co-authored 11 journals articles and 7 peer reviewed conference articles focusing on the areas of energy and control. He has also participated in numerous research projects, namely 1 european project, 4 national projects, 2 editions of the competition Solar Decathlon and 5 research projects with private companies in the areas of robotics and monitoring.
