For Nine Months $85 Million in Building Noted Only 2 of 14 Southern and Central California Coun ties extending from Frcsno to San Diego showed a decrease in building activity for the first nine months of 1968 according to the Statistical Department of the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce. This total is almort $500.000 ahead of 1067 figures and is reflected in the Torrancc-Soulh Bay where only 4 of the 12 cities reported are behind 1967 totals. Figures for the area are up $21 million over 1067 figures having reached a total of almost (86 million in the first nine months of 1968.
