SACRAMENTO — Unem ployment insurance pay ments continued to decrease in September. Peter Wein- berger. director of the state Department of Fmployment. said today, dropping better than $3 million for the month under the same month in 1967.

The department paid out $24.364.787 to unemployed workers la«t month, compar ed to J27.46l.765 for Sep tember. 1967. The decrease was attributed to both im proved employment condi tions throughout the state, and Improved administration in the department.
