Usen el pluscuamperfecto para indicar lo siguiente:

¿Quién había hecho las siguientes cosas?

¿Cuántos años tenía?¿Con quién y dónde los había hecho?

El pluscuamperfecto

• Use the pluperfect tense to describe an action in the past that occurred before another action in the past.

• To form the pluperfect tense, combine the imperfect tense of the verb haber with a past participle.

• You generally use the Spanish pluperfect in the same way you use its English equivalent.

Here are the pluperfect forms of hablar:

Había hablado Habíamos hablado

Habías hablado Habíais hablado

Había hablado Habían hablado

Cuando llegué a la oficina, el gerente ya había leído mis cartas de recomendación.(When I arrived in the office, the manager had already read my letters of recommendation).
