Electronic Digital Computer Mechanic
Apprentice Program

The work requires knowledge and understanding of:– Operating electronic and scientific principles– Computer hardware operations and mechanics– Software programs and programming principals– Computer logic– Computer driven sensors, probes and
surveillance devices– A variety of electronic test equipment
This 3-year program combines work experience, academic classes and technical certifications to prepare participants to install, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and test electronic digital computer systems and software as well as components and peripheral devices.
Electronic Digital Computer Mechanic Apprentice Program
Academic Requirements:This program requires approximately 110-133 academic credits. Participants can graduate with one of the following degrees:
ATA - LAN ADMINISTRATION
ATA - COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS
ATA - INFORMATIONS SYSTEMS SCIENCE
Technical Certifications:This program requires four industry standard technical certifications such:
A+SANS SECURITY
NETWORK+MCP (Operating System)
MCSDMSCE CCNA
MCDBAMOUS
Participants will graduate with 4,000 hours work experience +
2,000 hours academic instruction + Four certifications

Apprentice participants choose various “Building Block” work assignments - paralleling academic and career goals.
They complete weekly work journals and keep track of all OJT with an application called “Competency Wizard”.
