IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before using this appliance, please read the manual carefully and keep it for future reference. Incorrect operation due to ignoring of instructions may cause harm or damage.

• Use only power adapter equipped with this electronic keyboard or the power adapter with DC 9V output voltage, 500mA output current and central anode plug to power your instrument.

• Do not disassemble any part of this instrument nor change any interior parts. Should any abnormal function occur in use, stop using it immediately and send it to qualified engineers for maintenance service.

• Never leave the instrument in circumstance with excessive dust, vibration, extreme low or high temperature.

• Never leave the instrument in an unstable place to avoid falling down.

• Never place any container with liquid on the instrument to prevent the liquid flow into the instrument.

• Clean the exterior with a dry and soft cloth. Never use a chemical solvent to clean the exterior of the instrument.

• Set the volume to ‘00’ before connecting the power and adjust the volume gradually to the proper level to prevent the damage to the speakers. Never turn the volume to Max. If you feel uncomfortable about the volume, lower it to prevent from hearing loss.

• Never apply excessive force or place heavy objects on the instrument nor apply excessive force to press the keyboard and pow-er button.

• The instrument must be unpacked by adults before use. It is not suitable for children to play with under 3 years old.

• Properly store or discard packaging material after unpacking.

• Specifications are subject to change without notice.

• Only use in area where the height above sea level is below 2000 meters.

• The power supply unit should be placed away from water drops or water splash.

BEFORE PLAYING YOUR KEYBOARD

Power Supply

. Using AC-DC power adapter

Please use the power adaptor equipped with this electronic keyboard or the power adaptor with DC 9V output voltage, 500mA output current and central anode plug.

Insert the DC plug of power adaptor into the DC 9V power jack at the back of the keyboard, then insert the other end into the Main socket.

Note: The input voltage of power adaptor must conform to the voltage of Mains.

Press the Power on/off button and start playing.

Caution:

Disconnect the power adapter when your instrument is not in use for an extended period of time to prevent possible damage.

. Using batteries

Open the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the instrument.

Insert eight 1.5V D size LR-20 batteries. Follow the polarity marking on the cabinet. Close with the compartment cover, and make sure that it locks firmly in place.

Caution:

1. Do not use different types of batteries.

2. Do not mix old and new batteries for use. In case electrolyte leaks in the battery compartment, wipe it off completely before replacing with new batteries. Remove the batteries if the key-board is not in use for an extended period of time.

Standard microphones can be plugged into the MIC jack.

Assembly instructions for X stand:

1 Fix the two bottom stands on the two feet of the X framework with screws and the wrench.

2 Fix the two beams on the two top points of the X framework with screws and the wrench.

Rhythm

Selecting Rhythm

This keyboard has 300 types of rhythms. Press the Rhythm button to activate rhythm selection. Choose one shown on the Appendix II. Then enter its number by pressing Numeric key button or +/- button.

Effect and Control

. Keyboard drum

Press the Keyboard drum button to activate the drum effect. The tone will change to drum while you play. Press the button again to return to the original piano tone.

. Sustain

Press the Sustain button once, the tone will decay gradually after lifting your fin-ger from the keyboard. Press the button again to turn the sustain effect off.

. Vibrato

Press the Vibrato button to turn Vibrato effect on. The Vibrato effect will be pro-duced when you play. Press the button again to turn the vibrato effect off.

. Using headphone

A standard pair of headphones can be plugged into the PHONES jack for private practice or late-night playing. The internal speaker system is automatically shut off when a pair of headphones is plugged in.

BASIC OPERATION

Start to Play

. Power on/off

After connecting the AC adapter or plac-ing the batteries, press the Power on/off button to turn on the power.

. Master Volume

Rotate the Master volume knob clockwise to increase the Mas-ter volume and anti-clockwise to decrease the Master volume. Accompaniment volume will be changed accordingly when Master Volume is adjusted.

Tone

Selecting Tone

This keyboard has 300 types of tones. The default setting for the instrument is Acoustic Grand Piano tone. Press the Tone button to activate tone selection. Choose one shown on the Appendix I. Then enter its number by pressing Numeric key button or +/- button.

. Keyboard Split

Press the Keyboard Split button to divide the keyboard into left-hand and right-hand keyboard. The left 24 keys will be counted as left-hand keyboard and the rest keys will be counted as right-hand keyboard. You can choose a tone on the right-hand keyboard by pressing the number on numeric key buttons. The tone on the left-hand keyboard is initially set by the producer. Press the button again to turn the split effect off.

. Tempo

Press the Tempo button +/- to in-crease or decrease the tempo value for the rhythm, metronome and demo song. There are 210 tempos valued between 30 to 240 beats per minute. Press + and - buttons simultaneously to return to default value 120.

. Transposing

Press the Transposing button + or - to increase or decrease the transpose value up and down in 6 levels and change the pitch of entire keyboard up and down in semitone intervals. Press + and - buttons simultaneously to return to the default keyboard tone.

. Fine tuning

Press the Fine tuning + or - buttons to micro control the tone within a range of 99 levels between the two connecting tones. Press and hold + or - button to increase or decrease the levels contin-uously. Press + and -buttons simultane-ously to return to the default setting.

. Beat

Press the Beat button to activate the beat effect. Select from the 4 Beat levels (1/4 ,2/4, 3/4 and 4/4) by pressing the Beat button once at a time.

Press the Start/Stop button to start. Select the accompaniment from 0 to 299 from Appendix I by pressing the number in nu-meric key buttons.

. Sync

Press the Sync button to start the sync effect and press any of the left 19 keys to activate the rhythm. The auto chord will start when you play any key in the left 19 keys if the chord effect is activated. Press the Sync button to end the rhythm effect and start sync effect when Rhythm is on. Press again to end sync effect.

. Fill in

Press the Fill in button to add a short fill in rhythm variation at any time while the rhythm is played.

. Accomp Volume

There are 8 levels of accompaniment volume. The default level of accompa-niment volume is 7. Press + or - button to adjust the accompaniment volume while the selected volume is displayed on digital display. Press the + and - button simultaneously to return to the default volume.

Auto accompaniment

. Single Finger

Press the Start/Stop button to start the auto accompaniment. Then press Single finger button to start single finger accom-paniment. Press any of the left 19 keys to activate the rhythm. Press a different key on the left keyboard to select a different chord. The key you press will determine the root of the chord you play. Please refer to the following chart of playing C, C Min-er, C Seventh and C Miner-seventh Chords under Single finger mode. Press Start/Stop button again to end the effect.

Press the Start/Stop button to start the auto accompaniment. Then press Fingered chord button to start fingered accompa-

niment. Press any of the left 19 to activate the rhythm. Press a different key on the left keyboard to select a different chord. Once you play the chord in auto accompaniment section of the keyboard, the chord with rhythm will be automatically activated to play. Please refer to the following chart of chord types. Press Start/Stop button again to end the effect.

. Chord Clear

Press the Chord clear button to end the auto accompaniment for the chord mode, the rhythm will continue to play.

Recording

1.Press the Record button to engage the record mode. Then press any key or tone of drums to start recording while the maximum number is shown on the display. The recording will automatically end when it is full and FUL is shown on display. All pre-vious recording will be automatically cleared while recording a new song.

2.Press the Play button to play the recording.

3.Press the Program button to engage program mode.

Pitch bend

Push up or pull down the Pitch bend when you play to turn the pitch up or down con-tinuously. Release the Pitch bend to return to the initial standard pitch.

Demo all

Press the Demo all button to play from the first song to the last one. Press to stop. Press again and it will start from the last song.

Teaching function

Press the One key teaching or Follow teaching button to enter the teaching function. Press the number of keys or the +/- but-ton to select from different teaching Songs. Press the button again to exit.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problems Possible solutions

I can hear noises when the Power is switched on or off.

This is normal.

There is no sound while pressing any key when Power is switched on.

Make sure the Master volume con-trol and Accompaniment volume levels are turned to proper levels. Check if the headphone is plugged in as the internal speaker system is automatically shut off when a pair of headphones is plugged into the headphone jack.

The sound is distorted or intermittent.

Unqualified DC-adapter is prob-ably in use, or your batteries are running out of electricity and need replacement.

The note quality or pitch under the same voice is slightly different.

This is normal. The tiny difference in note quality is initially adopted by the producer.

The Sustain effect lasts longer or shorter when in use.

This is normal. The Sustain effect for each note is initially set by the producer.

The accompaniment key changes while you play syn-chronously.

Make sure you do not accidentally press a key in the left-hand range (left 19 keys of the keyboard).

There is no sound or LCD dis-play when AC-Power adapter is in use.

Make sure there is power available in power socket and the AC-adapt-er is fully plugged into the socket.

There is no sound or LCD display when the batteries are used.

Make sure the batteries are placed in the correct direction of anode/cathode, and the batteries are not running out of electricity.

The pitch of note changes.Make sure “Transpose” is not turned to “00” position.

There are noises from speak-ers when mobile phones are used nearby.

The mobile phone nearby should be switched off or placed far away from the instrument. It can interfere the operation of the instrument and cause noises.
