EDITOR

Two months have passed since the first ever issue of Elettra Magazine was published, and the submissions have been coming in thick and fast.

So much so that we’ve expanded the magazine from 67 pages to 124. Our pilot issue had over 1000 individual readers and more than 15,000 impressions, seen by people all over the world including the US, Indonesia, China, Canada and Australia, with the top countries being the UK, United States and Italy. Prior to the release of Elettra’s debut issue there was absolutely zero publicising and build-up, so I have no doubt that the work of our contributors this issue will reach even further around the globe. Many thanks to these professionals for their collaboration in this issue. They include photographers Alessandro Fini, Maria Cristina Franco, Roberto Roto, Maurizio Fantini, Errico Fabio Russo, Gigi Samueli and many more, as well as the talented make-up artists, models and stylists listed on page 4. They’ve provided a real mix of styles, as you’ll soon see for yourself.

Also featuring with a strong presence in this issue are the unsung heroes,

the stylists and make-up artists that play such a huge part in the success (or failure) or every photoshoot. This month features, among others, the work of Chiara Caputo, who styled two of our editorials, and Alessia Caliendo, the mind behind the concept and styling of the Cléopâtre editorial on page 48.

If you’d like to see your work featured in Elettra Magazine, we welcome unsolicited submissions that are in line with our content and feature Italian creative talent or designers. Deadline for the May issue of Elettra is 10 April 2013.
