Step 1: Access eLearnMain Login Page

Go to https://eLearn.smu.edu.sg Click on WEBEX (student) RED icon

Step 3: Join the session

Enter your name and SMU email addressto join the online session 

Step 4:Preparing forthe session

choose a quiet place foryour session. check that yourhardware speaker andmicrophone areworking fine and youRlaptop speakers are notmuted.

Raising Hand

YOU may be asked to click on the raise hand buttonto respond to your instructor's instructions or toask questions. Your Microphone is muted by default,click on the icon only if your instructor requestsfor you to speak.

Chat Function

The chat function will come in handy whenyour instructor would like you to respond toquestions and be involved in discussions.

YOU can also seek technical support from the TAvia private chat with him/her one-to-one. 

Responding to a Poll

Your instructor may request for you torespond to poll questions to gauge your levelof understanding or just to find out yourviews on a particular issue.

Simply indicate the preferred option andclick submit. 

Presenter rights

Your instructor may pass you presenter rights to presentyour slides.   Click on the ‘Share content’ icon at the bottom of thescreen and select ‘Share File’. Select your deck of slides forpresentation, click on the ‘Continue’ button to share theslides. Please note that PowerPoint animations will notwork if you choose this option but it will ensure thatyour slides will displayed side-by-side with theParticipants, Chat panel on the right and Annotationpanel on the left.
