• Engagement drives effort, performance , and retention. According to Corporate Leadership Council research:– Commitment can increase discretionary efforts by 57%,
which can improve performance by 20%– Every 10% increase in commitment increase employee
effort (performance) by 6%– Every 10% increase in commitment decrease employee
probability of departure by 9%
• Greatest opportunity for organizations to increase engagement is large group of ‘moderates’
