En Mohd Fakaruddin is currently Chief Assistant Director of JAKIM. He began his career in 2000 as a Research and Development Executive in a private company, and later joined the Ministry of Health, Malaysia in 2003. En Mohd Fakaruddin participated in many meetings related in Halal issues, and as a Committee Member in developing the Malaysia Standard MS 1500:2009 and Handbook of Halal Food Additives. En Mohd Fakaruddin had participated in various TV, documentary and radio programmes as well as print media in relation to Halal issues.
