Pyramid

• How to make a pyramid stronger:

• To make the pyramid stronger, I made triangles around the pyramid

Cube

• Materials:• 20 straws, paper

clips, books or cups• How to make a

cube stronger:• To make a cube

stronger, I made triangles in side the cube

Column x2

• How to make a toilet paper column:

• Materials:• Toilet paper rolls, books,

books• How to make it stronger:• To make the column

stronger, we put salt in the toilet paper roll. It made the column stiff so it could hold more books.

Column x2

• How to make a clay column:

• Materials:• Clay, roll, wax paper,

toothpicks, designs• How to make the

column stronger:• To make the column

stronger, you roll the clay to the top and make it flat.

Bridge

• How to create a bridge:• Materials:• 3 sheets of 8 ½ x11 paper, 2 books same

size, 2 books any size, 50 pennies• How to make the bridge stronger:• To make the bridge stronger, you need to

fold 1 or more paper. Then, you put the papers on 2 books and put the other 2 books on the side of the books standing up.

Gingerbread House

• How to make a bridge • Materials-Cardboard box, icing, candy,

cardboard, graham crackers• How to make a Gingerbread

House:First, you need to glue your

cardboard box on your cardboard. Then, you put the graham crackers on your house by putting icing on your house. Then, you put graham crackers all over your hose except the bottom. Now, you put doors and windows. Finally, you can decorate. When you finish, you eat it!

Downtown Tour

One day, my class took a field trip downtown. Here is what we did: We went in a tunnel underground. It was like an underground mall! We had to do a scavenger hunt while we looked around the city. For lunch we went to Discovery Park. When we finished eating, we had enough time to play. We found a little bit about our city’s history. I had a lot of fun during the field trip.

Children’s Museum

My class took a field trip to the Children‘s Museum. Here's what we did : We looked in the science room. We went inside and I went to build a Lego racecar. There was a place to put your car and see if it drove well. Mine didn’t work! Then we went to a massive playground with a maze in it. We did the maze last. I came in 5th place. Finally, we went to eat at Peter Piper’s Pizza. I had a lot of fun.

Play: “Best Christmas Pageant Ever”• One day my class went to see a play in December. We went to

see “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” It was funny. It was about a bunch of troublemakers learning the true meaning of Christmas. They learned about baby Jesus. After what they did, they weren’t troublemakers anymore. When the play finished, we went to Peter Piper’s

Pizza for lunch. I had fun. I liked the play.

Domes

• Materials: Gummy Drops, Toothpicks

• To make a miniature dome, you use the gum drops to connect the toothpicks. You will make a half-circle dome. You make a round top but nothing on the bottom. If you do it right you will have a miniature dome. You make triangles with the toothpicks and gum drops.
