WHY BENCHMARK/CERTIFY WITH ENERGY STAR

• Since 1999, tens of thousands of buildings and plants across America -- such as schools, hospitals, skyscrapers, retails stores, and manufacturing plants -- have earned EPA’s ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance.

ENERGIZE DENVER TASK FORCE

• On December 3 the City and County of Denver announced the Energize Denver initiative.

• The Energize Denver initiative will start with the formation of the Energize Denver Task Force, which will bring together key stakeholders to evaluate building efficiency programs and policies that will help Denver become a globally competitive leader in energy efficiency.

• The task force will develop actions to meet the following goal: Reduce the energy consumption of commercial and multifamily buildings by 10% by the end of 2020 and double that in the following decade.

• Based on the task force’s work, the City will develop and implement new building efficiency programs and policies.

ACCESS TERMS

You need to have an account in Portfolio Manager

You need to be authorized by the building owner to access energy data for their property

If there are fewer than four tenants in the building or if one tenant uses more than 50% of the building’s energy in a given month, you’ll need to obtain consent from tenants
