Energy Effec*veness: The Real-‐World Benefits of BEMS
Large organisa*ons can gain numerous benefits from efficient Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), from reduced CO2 emissions to lower energy costs. But in the real world, what specific advantages
can companies expect?
Jaguar Land Rover provides a real-‐world case example of how a well-‐run and con*nually maintained BEMS can make a significant and transforma*ve difference.

Regular reviews allowed Trend and Jaguar Land Rover to iden*fy and recommend addi*onal enhancements outside of outside of rou*ne maintenance expecta*ons. This totalled a further 3,476,742kWh and 1,291 tonnes of addi*onal CO2 saved.
Ongoing Improvement For Con?nuous Benefit
With more than 26 BEMS enabled buildings, Jaguar Land Rover’s vast estate meant even a slight energy efficiency enhancement, makes a drama*c difference.

Maintaining High Standards
It’s important to remember, an effec*ve BEMS will become inefficient if long-‐term, progressive maintenance and improvement strategies are forgo`en.

What Causes A BEMS to Become Inefficient?
BEMS inefficiency can be caused by numerous things, such as:

For projects to be con*nually successful and for rela*onships between BEMS suppliers and clients to remain fruicul, all BEMS should be reviewed at frequent intervals to account for change and on-‐going maintenance.

An assessment of the project's total impact on energy reduc*on – and a review of future enhancements should also be made, ensuring resources are allocated and are working in op*mal comfortable environments.
