Go to HUB Mall. Have some coffee or tea, if you would like to, and take a look around. What catches your eye or ear? What do you smell, feel, or taste? Write a page about your impressions of HUB Mall and then come back to class with this first writing assignment.

Students need to come into this course having learned writing skills in elementary and secondary school classes. Those students who have problems with basic language skills should seek help outside of the class. Please ask me for help; you will never be penalized for seeking information about these resources.
