During summer time, our family

spend vacation in some provinces. Last

May, we went to Lucban to cele-brate

the town fiesta with the family of

Daniel, one of our close friends, too.

Page 20: English 3 lesson 25

Kieth, Charlie, Daniel, and I

joined a relay where the main challenge

is to untie the necktie of the mannequins.

Each of the competing group unties

the necktie of the ten mannequins as fast

as they can. The team who is able to

Page 21: English 3 lesson 25

untie the neckties of the ten mannequins

in the shortest time wins the game.

Everybody cheered as each competing

group tried

their best to untie the necktie as fast as

they could. After a few minutes, our

group was declared the winner. Why?

Page 22: English 3 lesson 25

We believe in team-work that’s why we

planned quickly how to win the game.

When the host family learned that

we won the game, they cooked fried

chicken and spaghetti for us. Our

family shared galloons of ice cream and

several bottles of drinks.
