Saturday.” Division of a question: break up the motion into separate
parts to be considered and voted on.◦ “I call for a division of the question and that we vote on having a
carwash fundraiser.” (Vote) If that passes, “I move that we have the carwash this Saturday.” (Vote)
Vote: debate concluded. Chair restates the motion as originally stated (or as the amended motion or divided motion.) Vote taken, results announced (motion carried/motion denied); next item of business.
