A Note from Dave [Director]

The Parks and Recreation Department is working on plans for a new dog park in North Kansas City. A joint project with Kansas City, Missouri Parks and Recreation would add a new park area north of 32nd Street in North Kansas City near Swift. The plans include separate off leash areas for small dog and large dogs in addition to a walking trail, parking, shelter area and benches. Construction work should commence soon with planned completion scheduled for next spring.
