DEFINITIONS:

Subject Area + Catalogue Number A 4-letter subject area code plus a 4-digit catalogue number make up the course code, e.g. BIOL 1033. You can search for courses by using this code.

Class Number Every class at UniSA has a unique number (e.g. 24813). You use this number to enrol. Both the enrolment class and related classes have class numbers.

Enrolment Class This can be a lecture (LEC), tutorial (TUT), workshop (WSH) or practical (PRA), to name a few examples. It is the first class you must enter when you are enrolling.

Related Classes

These are other required components of the course, and are in addition to the Enrolment Class. They can be one of the following class types - lecture, tutorial, workshop or practical, to name a few. In most cases you will have a choice (e.g. 1 tutorial to be chosen from 7).

Auto Enrol Classes

In some courses, once you select the Enrolment Class you are automatically enrolled (Auto-Enrol) in a related class (e.g. a particular tutorial or practical at a particular time). The class number will be listed in the Auto-Enrol column below.

INTERNAL Pre-requisites: Students must have passed all stage 1 courses; Scientific Basis of Clinical Practice (BIOL 2058); Experiential Learning Activity: Older Adults Practicum 2 (NURS 2034). Co-requisite: None Students are to enrol into a Tutorial class and this will automatically enrol them into a Lecture and a Workshop. Please refer to the class timetable for available class numbers.

Adelaide Metropolitan, Interstate or Rural and Remote students. External students are to enrol in any one available external class. Please refer to the class timetable for available class numbers. Please refer to the class timetable for workshop information. For interstate and rural students please ensure that you choose a workshop date that coincides with your Health of Infants, Children and Young People workshop.

All external students will be required to attend a 2 day on campus workshop. You will be automatically allocated to a workshop depending on the external class number you enrol in. Please refer to the notes section on the timetable for workshop information. For interstate and rural students, please ensure that you choose an external class with a workshop date that coincides with your Health of Adults workshop.

Pre-clinical workshop: all students will need to attend a 4 hour pre-clinical workshop in September or October 2018 Placement Dates: 19 November – 16 December 2018

**All Experiential Learning Activity (ELA) courses are timetabled as ‘intensives’ and may have course specific census dates applied which you will be advised about well prior to the commencement of the relevant study period the ELA course is scheduled in.**

Pre-requisites: Students must have passed Experiential Learning Activity: Older Adults Practicum 2 NURS 2034 Co-requisites: Health of Adults (NURS 2023), Health of Infants, Children and Young People (NURS 2022)

It is compulsory for students to submit:

Senior First Aid certificate

CPR Update (if Senior First Aid older than 12 months)

National Police Certificate for ALL students

DCSI for ALL students

Immunisation records

ELA 3 medical calculation score card (students must obtain 100%)
