EPOS LOYALTY & REWARDS EZLinks Golf, Inc. Page 1 of 11 Document Overview: The Loyalty module within EPOS is a key part of creating additional value for golf courses and their respective customers. The purpose of this document is to detail the various pieces involved in EPOS Loyalty so that golf course owners, operators and end users may take advantage of this key component. EPOS Loyalty & Rewards Overview: The ability to incentivize customers to spend more of their leisure dollars at your facility is one of the driving concepts behind the EPOS Loyalty module. The loyalty functionality of EPOS consists of the EPOS Manager where loyalty programs are created and maintained, and the EPOS Client, where customer transactions occur and the benefits of a loyalty program are given. The Loyalty Program offers multi-site functionality which enables both, point sharing across facilities and Loyalty Program structure sharing across any number of facilities. This document will address Single Site Loyalty and Rewards. EZLinks strongly encourages all facilities to engage their EZLinks Account Manager either when implementing a new Loyalty program, or substantially modifying a current Loyalty program. The Account Management department has worked in a consultative capacity with many facilities to implement successful Loyalty programs that effectively encourage incremental spending, rather than just cannibalizing current spending. Statistics collected by the National Retail Federation show that an effective loyalty program can increase customer spending by up to 35%. Loyalty Program Setup & Maintenance (Single Site) All Loyalty program setup and maintenance control is contained within the EPOS Manager program.

Loyalty Program Structure

Loyalty Programs:

1. Loyalty Programs a. Setup and maintenance of program related settings

2. Loyalty Members a. Ability to monitor members assigned to a program

3. Loyalty Items a. Setup and maintenance of qualifying items for a specific program b. Ability to assign points or amount multipliers for items

4. Loyalty Rewards a. Setup and maintenance of reward issuance

Loyalty Programs

1. Add a new program

a. Program Name: The identifying name b. Rewards are: Programs can be either Point based or Dollar value based c. Points per Dollar Redemption: For a points based program, this setting can act as a multiplier so that the

dollar value of a purchase can be multiplied by the number entered here d. Expiration Date: Choice of three settings to control when points should expire

i. No expiration ii. End of the current year

iii. A user configurable number of days after the points have been issued e. Active: Indicates if the program is in effect

2. Add or remove the link between a local loyalty program and ETN membership

a. Add a loyalty program membership type b. Select the ETN membership to associate with the Loyalty program

3. Edit a previously configured program

a. There are fewer options available when editing an already established loyalty program so that conflicts

are prevented b. The program can be deactivated

4. Export Top Earners a. Selecting the, Export Top Earners button will allow the user the ability to enter a date range

5. Export Transactions

a. Selecting the, Export Transactions button, will create an excel spreadsheet that contains all available loyalty data

Please consult with your EZLinks Account Manager, or a member of the EZLinks Support department before making drastic changes to your loyalty programs.

Loyalty Rewards

1. Loyalty Program a. The ability to select which Loyalty Program to edit the rewards for

a. Min Points: The fewest number of points from this program that will qualify for this reward b. Max Points: The greatest number of points from this program that will qualify for this reward c. Reward SKU: The inventory sku that will be given as the “reward” for achieving the specified amount of

spending (points or dollars) d. Quantity: Number of rewards to provide upon achieving the predetermined threshold e. Points Redeemed: Upon achieving the predetermined threshold, the number of points to subtract f. Auto Reward: Force a reward to be redeemed upon achieving the predetermined level

EPOS Client Loyalty

The EPOS client is built to utilize the loyalty program that is tied to an ETN contact. Attaching a loyalty program to this ETN contact can happen via two different methods.

1. Establish the loyalty connection through ETN a. Select the Golfer in ETN

b. Add a membership through the membership tab

c. Click add

2. Sell the loyalty membership through the EPOS client a. If a membership item has not yet been created in Inventory, create it through the Manager

i. Launch the Manager ii. Choose the correct store

iii. Select the Create New Service Item button

iv. Select the ETN membership type to associate this item with

v. An optional cost can be associated with enrollment into this loyalty program by entering a price

into this item vi. Save the inventory item with its association to the ETN membership.

b. Launch the EPOS Client c. Select the membership item from the menupad d. Populate the golfer data on the New Membership window

3. Enter a membership number 4. Adjust membership effective dates (where applicable) 5. Pay out the transaction

The EPOS Client will immediately store this record in the local database and transmit the information to ETN so that it is instantly available.

There are several areas of the Client that can display Loyalty program membership.

1. Choose the Loyalty member from the customer selection button in the Client

2. Edit an item in the cart that belongs to the Loyalty program

a. A Loyalty member can be assigned or changed through this method

3. Select the Loyalty/Account action button

a. Enter the Loyalty membership name (a smart search will return results) b. Select the correct Loyalty member

4. Items in the cart can be assigned to this Loyalty member by;

a. Selecting the inventory item b. Pressing the Loyalty-shopping cart assignment button

Multiple items in one shopping cart can be assigned to different Loyalty members by selecting the shopping cart

item and assigning the Loyalty member with the Loyalty-shopping cart assignment button . Once the reward level is achieved, the Loyalty program reward item will be added to the shopping cart. All transaction receipts will print with the most currently loyalty information. Summary The EZLinks EPOS Client and Manager applications allow golf courses to setup powerful and effective Loyalty programs. The intent of a well thought out program should be to;

1. Increase the Customer Lifetime Value to your course 2. Increase profitable customer spending 3. Decrease the number of defectors 4. Build a marketable database of customers
