REMEMBER, THE UG CAPSTONE IS:

• The student’s final major degree milestone• The culminating event in which the student

brings together all their learning in a research project, focused on an area of particular interest, to demonstrate ability at practical skills called Program Outcomes (POs)

REMEMBER, THE UG CAPSTONE IS:

• Most importantly, an assessment course, and not an instruction course

• The instructor should provide an abundance of guidance and feedback but limited instruction

THE CAPSTONE DELIVERABLES

• The Capstone Proposal

• The Capstone Paper

• The Capstone Presentation

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

• All papers MUST go through a plagiarism review

• Any indications of plagiarism or other violations of academic integrity must be resolved

• Discuss with the instructor first• Follow up as needed

STUDENT MILESTONE LIST• Pre-490 Enrollment. >6-12 months prior to

course• Read and review Capstone Policy Guide• Complete all activities in the CRC• Identify a topic and begin researching and preparing

for the proposal and course expectations

• 490 Week 1-2. Proposal Sequence• 490 Weeks 3-7. Complete/submit project• 490 Week 8. Present and defend your project• 490 Week 9. Evaluation period
