2) Define write-ins and set uppreferences for ballot (write.in)resolution opiions.

B€nstlts of Ballot Nour: Ballot Now integrates fully with the eslate in-p€rson votingsystem. Ballot Now uses PC technology that is simple to operate, and requires noprogramming. Ballot Now allows tor printing, scanning, and resoMng ballots. BallotNow ballots include bar codes for precinct and sedal number identification, obviating theneed to sort ballots prior to scanning and preventing the same ballot from b€ing scannedmore than once. Ballots that need resolution are not out-stacked, but reolved on the PCby reviewing ballot images. The original ballot is not altered in order to resolve it, and itis al',l,ays available in its original form.

Thisis in ord€r to protect thE database integriiy. Only one election database mayexist for a unique BOSS database.Tally: You can read unvoted MBBS that were written as sparos into Tally.This allows you to account for all MBBS written for ths election.
