• The ERA exercise ranks all university research outcomes, categorised by field of research, against international benchmarks on a five point scale, with 3 as the world standard and 5 well above world standard; Two thirds of our assessed fields of research were evaluated at world standard or above.
• Eight fields covering areas vital to the Western Australian economy (minerals, agriculture and medical sciences) were ranked as well above or above world standard.
