    It is with great pleasure that, on behalf of Universidade Lusfona de

    Humanidades e Tecnologias/ CICANT Center for Research in AppliedCommunications, Culture and New Technologies and LINI - Lisbon Internet andNetworks Institute, we welcome you to our institutions and the city of Lisbon.

    As in previous years, the conference program is very diverse: it starts onWednesday 29 June with pre-conference tutorials, workshops and a doctoralconsortium. The main conference takes place on Thursday 30 June and Friday1st July, and offers three keynote speakers, academic full and short paperpresentations, iTV in Industry sessions, posters and demos.

    An important part of the EuroITV conference is the social events. You will havethe opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues during lunches and coffeebreaks and, also, to enjoy Portuguese food and drinks: particularly duringthe welcome reception being held at the magnicent Palcio Foz and theconference dinner at the beautiful Estufa Real at Jardim Botnico da Ajuda.It is therefore with great pleasure that wish you a fruitful event that is notdepleted in these days of the conference but that opens up spaces andopportunities for new collaborations and scientic dialogues.
