Evaluation Question 3 – What have you learned

from your audience feedback?

During our premiere we handed out a questionnaire for our target audience to fill out in order for us to get feedback on our work. We asked about how effective our

trailer was and what they thought worked well and what didn’t...

This is the questionnaire that we gave out. The questions

we have asked allowed us to gather a general view of the initial feelings of our target

audience. After this we conducted more in-depth

research such as focus groups and reaction videos as well as

asking for written feedback via whatsapp. From these

answers we wanted to find out if our media products were successful and which conventions and elements

worked best.

As a group we conducted a number of videos as our audience feedback in which we made the watch the trailer so we can see their reactions. We then asked them questions at the end and they gave us feedback on what they thought worked well and what could be

improved. We did this for the rough cut too so that we could go back and make improvements based on our target audience feedback.

To get further audience feedback which was more in-depth I took to whatsapp to ask people from my target audience what they thought about the poster

and magazine cover. I received some mixed opinions however, they all picked up on similar things and could easily identify the convections and that it was a

horror genre product. The response was overall quite positive.
