Evaluation Question 4

PreziPrezi has been a very effective use of media technology for me in both my research and planning and evaluation stages. Prezi creates a visually appealing way for me to layoutmy work and for other people to view it. Prezi takes away the need for any boring chunksof block text, which are very dull to read. Prezi is also an effective way of learning how touse online presentation tools, as well as it being free. It is easy to use but creates a veryprofessional look for your work.

Here is a screenshot of all the Prezis I have completedwithin the research and planning and evaluation stages.

PowToon and PixtonPowToon animations and Pixton cartoons are two more online media tools which I used to make my work look more presentable and to make my blog more media rich. I have used PowToon multiple times to present my work in a very professional and high standard way, asit is a difficult tool to use. I have also used Pixton to create my own comic strip which I usedin my first evaluation question to represent my film trailer.

Here are screenshots of my completed PowToon and Pixton creations

PhotoshopPhotoshop was one of the most important forms of media technology which I used. In my research and planning process I used Photoshop a few times to create a company logo, and other small things of that sort. In my research and planning process I also watched some tutorials in preparation for my creation process. The creation process made Photoshop the most effective piece of media I have used, as I used it to create both of my ancillary tasks. Photoshop was also an extremely effective tool because I used it to enhance my imagery in areas where it originally lacked, for example I was able to change the color, brightness and overall look of the image. I also used Photoshop to use a variety of fonts combined with my images of my ancillary tasks. The tools within Photoshop were also important and extremely effective in defining how my final products would look. With the brush tool I was able to color in partsOf my images to make them more or less visible, and the crop tool to cut out areas of an image.

This is an example of how I used Photoshop to enhance color and creativity within my images

Adobe Premiere ProAdobe Premiere Pro was a piece of editing software which was very effective in my creation process. I learned how to use the tools in which I used in my trailer through watching tutorials on YouTube. I learned how to make simple cuts as these were going to be the most effective in my editing process, I wanted my trailer to be realistic so straight cuts were the best option. These were just a few of the very simple aspects of adobe premiere pro I learned prior to my use of it. During the creation process of my main product I learned some more complex techniques such as how to split clips in half and how do add exponential fades to my music. I also learned how to change the volume to heighten it or lower it depending on the amount of outside noise of the clip as this was a problem sometimes.

This is a screenshot of the final effect in my trailer, the fade of the music.

Blogger Blogger is the main piece of media technology which I have used all the way through my research and planning, creation and evaluation processes. Everything I have done from my initial ideas to my final products have been documented using Blogger. It is an extremely effective piece of technology which allows me to layout all of my work in a visually appealing and professional way. I have taken great care in the time management of my blog, uploading all of my work in the correct order and ensuring that there is a fluid transition between posts. For example the research and planning process can be seen from around August/September to around November. Then the creation process took place until around February/March followed by the evaluation process. One of the most effective aspects of Blogger is that I could change the time of my posts if I made a post too late or if I wanted my posts to be in order, I could simply change the date and it would rearrange itself.
