Every once in a while, there comes a momentous occasion that marks the beginning of a new way of life, one that announces that a Big Change is about to take place. Smoke coming out of factories pronounced the start of the Industrial Revolution. A footprint on the moon announced the beginning of the Space Age.

The 1st of January 2007 was another such occasion. The creation of Synaxis Media marked a new year for the Emirate’s media scene, and signalled the dawn of the Age Digital Out-of-Home Media in the Gulf.

Over the years, the streets of Abu Dhabi have become crowded with advertisements. With so much clutter, advertisers have been racking their minds in trying to devise ways of capturing the attention of their targets. This need for better awareness spawned Synaxis Media. We wanted to bring new ways, new forms of media to help the communication problem.

Hawaii comes to the Gulf! This University of Hawaii alum is famous amongst her colleagues and clients for reflecting the island’s personality. She has the sunniest of dispositions, and a personality that’s as sweet and colorful as Tropical Punch. She also brings that island vibe in her work – calm and relaxed even when faced with a tidal-wave-proportioned pressure of meeting sales targets and deadlines. She also handles the day-to-day operations; manages and trains her team into ecoming a well-oiled machine; and oversees production and media mplementation

Ibrahim Barry has been growing Abu Dhabi brands since 1999. He started his career as an account executive; he then moved over to the Creative side, where he worked as an art director; and now, he is handling production. One of the largest high-end shopping malls in the Gulf, Marina Mall is located on the Abu Dhabi Corniche Breakwater, near the Emirates Palace, yacht clubs and expatriate residences. The capital’s middle and upper class gravitate towards Abu Dhabi Mall. Located on the eastern side of Abu Dhabi, on the tourist district, and flanked by two five star hotels, the mall comprises of more than 200 stores, including a Cineplex, world-class bowling lanes, a hypermarket (Abu Dhabi Co-Operative Society) as well as a large food court. The mall also holds the Walkers Club every morning.

Home of Carrefour, Gap, Home Center, and Centrepoint, Al Jimi Mall is one of the largest shopping malls in Al Ain. Frequented by UAE Nationals and expatriates, Al Jimi, indeed, is a beehive of activity and great shopping.

The biggest outdoor LED screen in the Gulf, Africa and Europe is located at the heart of the city, above the Fotouh Al Khair Shopping Center (Marks & Spencer), covering two of the main Central Intercity major intersections of Hamdam Street and Zayed the 2nd Street. Approximately 5.5 million cars pass by the aforementioned intersection monthly.

With its position on top of a building combined with a colossal screen that measures 28 meters by 8 meters advertisements are visible from as far as one-kilometer away. Moreover, The Opulence is equipped with the latest pixel-technology, and can handle both static and full motion advertisements.

A TV advertisement for the price of a poster?! Only Synaxis Media can make that happen. Digital Posters are eight-foot high structures that can play full motion graphic advertisements for the cost of a poster. Placed in the mall’s high traffic areas, and combined with the Digital Poster’s high-definition screen, advertisements can be seen clearly from as far as twenty feet away.

The 1st Rotating LED Screen in the UAE. The 360 Screens are eight-foot cylindrical structures with rotating 50” screens – here, advertisements rotate along the circular screen, and thus, when the structure is placed at the center of a room, the advertisement can be viewed from all around. Moreover, the 360 LED Screen is a versatile one as it can be split into two 180-degree (semi circle) screens. Thus, advertisers have the option of either playing one advertisement that plays on the whole screen, or two advertisements on two half screens.

That’s why we placed the Pillar Digital Posters right smack in the middle of these areas: if you’re going up or down the escalators and elevators, you’ll see these screens. If you’re going through the mall hallways, crossing from one atrium to another, you’re also sure to see these. Pillars provide great structural support for the buildings. Located exclusively in Marina Mall, on the walls of the travelator leading down to Carrefour, is a set of 35 digital screens. Each screen is 32” in size, and displays high quality pictures in high definition and high clarity; and also each screen can play static, full motion graphics and video advertisements. But more than the sheer number of screens, the best thing about the Travelator Digital Wall Posters is that they allow advertisements to be viewed up close.

Synaxis Media offers clients two sets of 103” HD Screens – vertical ones and horizontal screens. The vertical or portrait 103” HD Screens are placed at the hallways connecting the old extension to the new extension of Maria Mall. The horizontal 103” HD Screens, on the other hand, are placed at the escalator bridges leading to the basement floor of Marina Mall. These said escalators lead to ever-so-high traffic areas of Carrefour and IKEA.
