Campers Good Sam Chapter
We would like to invite you to join our Good
Sam Chapter. Additional information on our
Chapter is included in this brochure.
We have many active members including
(husband/wife or singles). Some are “young
seniors” (as our grandkids call us).
RV TRIPS AND MEETINGS
Our group meets each month. During the winter,
we meet at restaurants. March through October
we enjoy RV
trips to various
Northwest
locations in
relative
proximity to
the Portland
area. Our
monthly trips are planned for Friday night to
Sunday, to allow everyone the opportunity to
attend, although some retired members opt to
arrive early on Thursdays. The chapter families
co-host the outings, make the necessary
reservations and contact all of the members to
determine who will attend. Each campout
includes a BBQ and a potluck plus visiting sites
of interest in the area. Each year we plan
extended trips often beyond the NW during
September, lasting 2-3 weeks.

Dogs for Better Living Inc. (DBL)
Our chapter supports this national program, located in Central Point, Oregon.
DBL places trained dogs free of charge to people with hearing loss and a variety of physical, mental, and emotional challenges.
• These dogs have gone on to help people all across the U.S. and Canada. They help not only the person they are placed with, but also family members, friends, co-workers, and just about anyone the person comes in contact with.
• These dogs have made people more productive and employable, enhanced parenting skills, provided safety, saved lives, and made life better for everyone involved.
• The people receiving the dogs have provided love and care for dogs that once had a very grim future.
• DBL have been able to save the lives of thousands of dogs in shelters, give them training, and turn them from “underdog to WONDERDOG.”
To raise money
for contributions, we conduct a raffle following our Saturday night meetings throughout the year. Members sign-up to bring an item for a raffle. We hold a pie auction in November.
Clackamas Campers have been very generous with donations to DBL throughout the years. We have been among the top 10 contributors in the nation several times as well as in the top 3 twice.
If you would like more info on one of our events or on becoming a member, please contact, membership chairman. Bonnie Gardner
